Turning theory into practice MASTER OF SCIENCE IN KNOWLEDGE-BASED ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Former Student Testimonials It is an incredible opportunity to turn your theoretical skills into practice and also receive professional support and feedback during the education. It is a privilege to experience a learning by doing process at the KBE programme rather than just doing learning. It is all up to us students ourselves to set the limits of what we want to achieve during the programme. There is no other education where you have such a possibility to build your own network while you are studying. It is very valuable to develop insights and network within many different industries all throughout the programme. The competence and engagement from our external coaches from the business society offered to us as students is outstanding. Career Opportunities Career opportunities are broad and work tasks may include identifying and creating new business opportunities in existing firms, diversifying from a current knowledge base, or formation and growth of new firms. Small or large firms, consultancy firms, venture capital organizations or policy organisations are all potential employers. Also a research career within the field of innovation and entrepreneurship is opened up through the programme.

Give yourself a kick-start BEST ENTREPRENURSHIP PROGRAMME IN SWEDEN! Appointed by the Swedish Government and The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education After completing the Master of Science in Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship (KBE) you will be able to stand out in the competition with other masters students because you have acquired hands-on experience from running a real-life project. This means that you actually have been working during a full year with aspects such as Project Management, Strategy Development, Business Modeling, Sales, Marketing, Financing, Organization & Team Dynamics etc. During the second educational year we have a close collaboration with GU Holding (the Holding company of the University of Gothenburg) enabling our students to have an incubation partner offering professional office space and infrastructure. Case: Kocken & Jag Kocken & Jag delivers prepackaged grocery bags in the Gothenburg area - carefully selected ingredients and exciting recipes, straight to their customer s door. Read below what both the students and the owner of the company say about the collaboration and the project: I had run Kocken & Jag for a couple of years and felt during 2012 that I wanted to take the next step with the business. I turned to KBE and GU Holding in order to develop the company to a new level. The resources, network and knowledge connected to KBE created the right potential for me to realise my ambition together with a dedicated student team. The access to new interesting contacts, professional facilities, getting new colleagues along with a new strong owner in GU Holding has been really valuable. I would never get access to all this if it had not been for KBE and the setup of the programme. Collaborating with the student team; Daniel, Ryan and Sveinn has been great fun and I have learnt a lot from them. At the same time I hope they have gained a profound understanding about how it is to run a company. It is not always an easy journey and the team have experienced both the ups and downs running a business. - Fabian Schocher, Owner Kocken & Jag AB It is a privilege to experience a learning by doing process at the KBE programme rather than just doing learning. The second educational year is really exciting since you are working like a entrepreneur taking a real idea, product or service to the market. Theories about entrepreneurship are combined with actually running a venture creation process along with a strong focus on our personal development. It is a great possibility to try, evaluate ate and get true insights from all the theories and academic knowledge acquired ing earlier studies. Being part of a real business means that we not only study dur- sales, business modelling, financing issues, organisation, negotiation, project management etc. We actually experience this in reality. - Daniel Hugin, Ryan Rumble & Sveinn Thorarinsson The Kocken & Jag team 2012/2013
