What is Pearson VUE? Computer-based testing provider Pearson VUE s computer-based testing serves the Information Technology industry and the Professional Certification, Licensure, and Regulatory markets. (CompTIA, Cisco, CWNA, LNAT [National Admissions Test for Law UK, GMAT [Graduate Management Admissions]) Prometric (exclusively Microsoft) Operational centers in the United States, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, India and China BCIT Downtown campus Independent Authorized Centre (served many HTP programs in the past to benefit students) VUE sessions held for the public every 3 rd Tuesday (9am-1pm)

After 3 years, the certification must be renewed. This can be done by passing the most current exam for a respective certification or by participating in CompTIA s upcoming new continuing education program, which will allow individuals to keep their skills current and their certification up to date with out retesting. Vendor Exam Basics Exams session start times (usually 10:00am) Must arrive and register at least 30 minutes (9:30am) prior to start time - Room to be announced Normally 2 pieces of photo ID required Registration procedures read and sign VUE contract agreement Officially sign-in (name/time) Lunch room/waiting room Strict exam policies that every VUE centre abides by centres regularly assessed
Vendor Exam Basics Jackets & Bags locked in office (please do not bring valuables on test day) Prohibited Items Writing instruments (pens, pencils) Electronic devices (cell phones, calculators etc) Nothing in pockets (please put wallets in jackets/bags) Food / Drinks Not permitted to leave the lab during exam Please use the washroom prior to exam
Vendor Exam Basics In the Lab Seating Invigilator will sign you in individually Erasable notepad and pen provided after signed in; must be handed to invigilator as soon as exam ends Exam results will be provided to you immediately after finishing For results to be printed, exams must be properly ended Leave room quietly after exam finishes and go to Room 350 for printed results Remember to sign out

Retakes at Alternate Sites Registering for a retake exam at an alternate site will be done online **Re-writing an exam must NOT be done during class hours no exceptions Must provide a copy of results to BCIT: pass/non-pass
