Show Rules The show commi ee and the Iowa Equestrian Center are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, and/or death to exhibitors or their horses. The show commi ee and the Iowa Equestrian Center are not responsible for any the s and/or loss of property of the exhibitors. Every exhibitor/person is responsible for their own risks they inherit at every horse show. Dress Code - Proper Western & English boots with a heel must be worn. - Long Sleeve, collared shirt, & proper western hat will be required for all western classes and halter classes. No t-shirts or non-collared shirts will be allowed. - Proper English helmets, breeches, and proper English collared shirt will be required for English classes. - Stallions must be handled by an exhibitor who is 18 years and older, no excep ons. - The Judge and Show Commi ee has the right to split any classes that become too large. - Entries close for a class when the previous class has a closed gate. - Gate will be closed a er the 3rd Call for the class, no excep ons. - Colored Horse classes are open to the following color types: Paint, Pinto, Buckskin, Grulla, Appaloosa, Palomino, Dun, etc. - Tie downs or hackamores are not allowed in pleasure class. - No training equipment is allowed in any pleasure classes. - It is the discre on of the Judge, ring steward, and/or Show Commi ee to dis-qualify and/or remove any horse that is ac ng in any unmannerly way. - Tack changes will be allowed. Tack Changes must be noted on the Tack Change Form and the entry booth. Tack changes will be allowed a maximum of 5 minutes. - Jr. Horse age is 5 years and younger. A Jr. Horse may ride in a snaffle bit or bosal and may ridden with two hands. - Any horse exhibited in a shank bit must be ridden one handed. If any rider is exhibi ng two handed in a shank bit, they will be dis-qualified. - All dogs must on a leash. - Ages for exhibitors are as of January 1st. No excep ons. - Ages for horses are as of January 1st. No excep ons. - The pony height will be 14.1hh for every show. Ponies may require measurement if not accompanied by an official permanent height card from POAC or USEF. Ponies not accompanied by a height card or that are in ques on, must be measured prior to the start of the show. If a pony that is in ques on is not measured before the start of the show, the pony & exhibitor will be disqualified from all classes & any points earned will be removed for that horse/rider combina on. NO EXCEPTIONS.
