This can be as a PDF file or on paper. Since the paper prints must be done with a laser printer, the color reproduction is not binding. Tamponprint Tamponprinting offers a wide range of advantages and has proved its value millions of times at Victorinox. Tamponprinting is able to reproduce in contour signets, logos, inscription, images and even photographs sharply and cleanly. You basically can select between two processes, which are used depending on the application requirements. On the one hand, we use a spot color process (48-pitch screen) with up to six colors and, on the other hand, we use a four color photographic print process (CYMK, 54- pitch screen). In both procedures, color is lifted with an elastic stamp from a steel plate (with an etched-in image) and transferred to the object to be printed. Protective Lacquer A Victorinox tamponprint inscription on cellidor cases is protected with a high gloss protective lacquer (with the exception of the classic models with LED, laser, or ballpoint pen). The purpose of the hard lacquer is to provide the already durable imprint with greater resistance to abrasion and chemical substances. For example, this ensures that your advertising message remains attractive on a keychain for a longer time and is not rubbed off. This process is environmentally friendly and the lacquer is food safe. Please note: Color printing on a dark background must always have a preprinted white layer underneath. When printing photographs (CMYK), this means an additional work step (white base color plus 4 color printing). Etching Inscription on metal parts in an electrolytic way (electrolyte and etching current). Suitable for logos with fine lines or larger surfaces, as well as narrow and bold fonts. Very durable. Color: anthracite dark gray Metal Inlay A chromium steel inlay is created photochemically and then pressed flush into the plastic casing under pressure and using heat. Not possible with nylon and transparent cases for technical reasons. High-end appearance and very long durability. Color: silver (chromium steel) Hot Stamping Stamping a motif to a certain depth is done with the help of a brass stamp, stamping transfer foil, heat, and pressure. Suitable for simple logos, narrow fonts, and numbers. Long-lasting durability is only guaranteed with narrow fonts but not with larger surfaces. Colors: Single colors only; silver, white, gold, blue, red, black or green; no Pantone colors. Five standard fonts (see illustration) are available for small quantities; the stamping costs are dropped with these fonts.
