Tips for Terrific Smoothies Freeze the fruit for a frostier drink (bananas work well) Avoid sweetened frozen fruit as this adds calories and may make the drink too syrupy sweet To get frozen yogurt out of the container, remove the foil cap, then microwave for about 20 seconds. Use a long-handled spoon to scoop yogurt out. You can make also make yogurt cubes out of yogurt using ice cube trays. Thin out drinks that are too thick by adding juice or lemonade. Add more fruit, ice or yogurt cubes or tofu to make a drink thicker. Sprinkle some artificial sweetener into a drink that is too tart. Add lemonade or lemon juice to a drink that is too sweet. Be careful adding grapes to smoothies. The skins taste bitter and the juice is too sour. Try it at your own risk. Additives to increase the nutritional value of smoothies 1 T.
