They include: Plu-in Installation ZF Marine control systems utilize plu connectors that make installation easier and cut installation time sinificantly. Determine cable lenth, enine and transmission requirements, and you re ready to plu in our systems. To simplify thins further we can provide custom desined kits for production boat buliders. Push Button Set Up Confiurin the parameters for your controls has never been easier. Simply enter the parameter code and the processer instantly makes the correct adjustment. Chanin confiurations later to meet a new specification is just as easy. Start Interlock Our neutral start interlock prevents enine start up unless the control system is on, in neutral, and a specified station is in command of the enines and transmissions. Emerency Reversal Protection Speed / shift sequence protection allows shiftin from full ahead to full astern in one motion while preventin damae to the enine or transmission. Desined with safety in mind, this sequencin technoloy allows you to respond safely to emerency situations. Synchronization Enine synchronization is standard on all control systems. Synchronization automatically maintain the same speed on multiple enines, thereby increasin operatin efficiency, improvin fuel economy, and reducin noise and vibration. Synchronization also allows for one lever operation allowin the control of multiple enines and transmissions with one lever. Multiple Control Stations All control systems have the capability to support multiple control stations on a vessel includin our optional handheld control. Built in Processor Displays All control system processors feature diital displays that provide information for set up, system status, and dianostic purposes. Troll All our control systems are desined to control mechanical or electronic trollin valves as well as ZF AutoTroll. A full rane of shaft speed is available below enine idle without the need for additional switches. 4 5

MicroCommand & ClearCommand CruiseCommand MicroCommand and ClearCommand are robust controls that have been lon established as industry standards in electronic controls technoloy. These two products are suited to all applications utilizin mechanical enines and ears with any combination of electronic throttle or shift. CruiseCommand is the net step based on the proven MicroCommand and ClearCommand product families. It is desined specifically for larer vessels with multiple control stations and electronic enines and electrically shifted transmissions. CruiseCommand incorporates all the standard features of ZF Marine control systems includin: Warm up mode Station transfer Sinle lever operation Enine synchronization Electric trollin valve control is a standard feature with CruiseCommand and can be activated as part of the initial system set up. This allows for a rane of low speed control at enine idle. MicroCommand and ClearCommand have been tested to requirements set by survey societies such as ABS and DNV, and meet ABYC standards for performance and functional testin. Both products carry the CE mark and are certified for sale in Europe. CruiseCommand has a number of type approvals if classification is required for the application. Premium ClearCommand Utilizin the proven ClearCommand platform, Premium ClearCommand was developed specifically for unique applications in multi-enine commercial, and very lare pleasure craft vessel applications. Premium ClearCommand is desined to interface with many commercially available DP systems and meets the strinent standards of most classification societies. In addition to all of the standard features of ZF Marine control systems, Premium ClearCommand offers unique features such as: Enine room and remote station lock out Unique transfer functionality and station in command indication as required by ABS Dynamic Positionin and joystick interface Fied neutral delay for shaft brake sequencin 6 7

MiniCommand SmartCommand MiniCommand is the evolution of standard electronic controls. MiniCommand provides affordable sinle lever control of electronically actuated diesel enines and marine transmissions. Desined specifically for pleasure craft and liht duty commercial applications up to 60 feet in lenth, with a maimum of two control stations, the MiniCommand control processor incorporates the loic circuits for two enines and transmissions in one compact packae. The sinle unit desin allows for the processor to be mounted in smaller spaces while maintainin two completely separate operatin systems. MiniCommand provides the features of control systems costin sinificantly more, all with the proven durability from ZF Marine. For operators already familiar with ZF Marine s eistin control systems, MiniCommand offers the fleibility to be paired with the same control heads offered for MicroCommand, CruiseCommand, and ClearCommand. In addition the 4200 Series control head was desined specifically for MiniCommand. A derivative of the popular 5200 control head for the SmartCommand control system, the 4200 offers all the eronomic comfort and modern European desin required by many of today s boat builders. SmartCommand is the result of fifty years of eperience in desinin vessel control systems. A powerful control system for today s electronically controlled enines and ZF transmissions, SmartCommand interates the latest in CANbus communication technoloy with a user-friendly multifunction control head for up to si vessel control stations. The compact control head desin combines an eronomic lever shape with a user-friendly touch pad allowin for all system functions to be easily selected usin softtouch push buttons. Visual indicators help to locate the neutral detent position and two color LEDs indicate station in command, and transmission enaement. SmartCommand puts you in complete control with dedicated control modes for all standard ZF Marine control system functions with the addition of Easidock, and AutoTroll. Easidock ensures positive clutch response resultin in easy and precise maneuverability in confined areas. Easidock provides the ability to modulate clutch enaement and control enine speed to obtain the optimum propeller speed for safe dockin. AutoTroll permits a full rane of low speed control incorporatin a shaftline sensor for closed loop feedback to maintain a specifically demanded propeller rpm. AutoTroll allows for clutch slippae to be controlled while maintainin minimum enine speed. SmartCommand s CANbus communication perfectly synchronizes enines in all modes without the need for dedicated buttons or switches. 8 9

SmartCommand Options Control Head Options Joystick Maneuverin System (JMS) ZF Marine s Joystick Maneuverin System, operates off of the SmartCommand control system, and offers simple and intuitive vessel control at your finertips. JMS manaes the vessel s main enines, ZF transmissions and bow thruster all throuh the joystick, ivin the operator precise speed, smooth maneuverin and easy dockin. JMS offers vessel operators the ability to move the vessel sideways, rotate 360 derees on the vessel s ais, and hold vessel position accountin for current and wind. ZF Marine control heads are built to withstand the harshest marine environment while bein attractively desined to compliment any application. Our control heads incorporate easy to use functionality to ive you complete control from up to si different stations on your vessel. SmartCommand 5200 MiniCommand 4200 SteerCommand For many years commercial aircraft have been usin Steer by wire technoloy. Today, SteerCommand brins all the benefits of electronic steerin control to the water. SteerCommand technoloy also brins a number of improvements to system installation. Traditional bulky hydraulic steerin systems with their plumbin and many liters of fluid are now replaced with simple electronic harnesses. The vessel control eperience is also sinificantly improved. Steerin feel at the helm is more precise, and ZF Marine s patented force feedback system, offers rudder feel at the helm. Individual rudder controls offer increased maneuverability by allowin each rudder to move independently for maimum performance. Because SteerCommand is tied to the SmartCommand control system, it can operate throuh either main processor. Also, if complete vessel power is lost, the rudders can still be actuated manually.
