Canon Estimate Repair Process With the advances made in today s technology carrying out estimates and repairs can be a lengthy process. Detailed estimates can generally take up to 5 days to generate. It then requires you or your customer to agree the estimate and once the estimate has been agreed it then has to be re-scheduled for repair. There is no initial charge for an estimate however the technicians time used to produce the estimate will be incorporated into the final repair cost. If a customer does not go ahead with the detailed estimate provided there will be a nominal charge made for the technician s time: For general estimates a charge of 30.00 excl. VAT will be made. For estimates relating to significant impact damage or liquid/sand ingress a charge of 60.00 excl. VAT applies We will charge for return courier costs where applicable. Alternatively, you can choose the Repair Limit option. Please find information on Repair Limits below. Repair Limit for Pro D-SLR and Lenses A repair limit can dramatically speed up the repair turnaround time by allowing the technician to go ahead and repair the product up to a certain cost which has been authorised by the customer. If the repair exceeds your agreed cost we will contact you prior to any further work being carried out. Most customers agree a repair limit of around 250.00 including VAT. As a guide your repair limit should be based on the following: Labour rate @ 60.00 per hour. (Does not include spare part costs or VAT) Minimum charge 40 for minor repairs (warranty on the repaired fault only) Return carriage where applicable Please note there will be no charge for No Fault Found, however a small handling charge may apply.
