The athletic design is centred on the large Audi single frame grille, which is surrounded by the wrap-around bonnet and framed by the sharp and stylish Xenon headlights with daytime running lights. The bold shoulder line runs along the length of the car, linking front and rear in a dynamic and muscular fashion. These design highlights accentuate the car s wide, hunkereddown stance, emphasising its sporting abilities. The aggressive S line exterior kit, including lower and deeper front and rear bumpers, combined with the S line roof edge spoiler and a rear diffuser, give the A1 TFSI Sport an unmistakably powerful presence. For the interior, the design lines are inspired by a yacht and an airplane wing. These sophisticated styling cues are found in the centre console, the door trims and the instrumental panel, with air vents that can be ordered in a wide range of colours to suit any taste. The 1.4 TFSI engine is a technological powerhouse, employing both super- and turbo-charging utilising FSI direct-injection injection technology bred on the racetrack through Audi s all-conquering LeMans race cars. This advanced engine produces a muscular 136 kw of power and an impressive 250 Nm of torque. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h takes just 6.9 seconds, and the top speed is 227 km/h. Audi s acclaimed seven-speed S tronic transmission is standard, directing the power to the front wheels and switching gears in just a few hundredths of a second without any interruption in power flow. Thanks to advanced driver assistance systems such as ESP and EDL, the A1 TFSI Sport always stays on track. The ESP with electronic cross-axle lock applies the brake to a spinning wheel and transfers torque to the other wheel, maximising traction and keeping the car under control at all times.
