CASSC Term of Service and Order of Succession New CASSC Term of Service Morris Knapp introduced the new CASSC term of service. Carol Tulikangas provided an overview of the new proposed term of service to be increased to a three (3) year from a (2) year rotation. This will allow members the opportunity to better understand CASSC procedures and processes in order to make true and effective changes. Motion: The CASSC Coordinating Committee with input from the Academic and Student Deans, propose that beginning Fall 2016-1, the term of service for newly elected and appointed CASSC members will be a three (3) year-term. 2

Rationale: To accommodate a change in service length, all members of CASSC that are up for election or appointment during the Spring 2016-2 will begin a new term of service. The rule that individuals must take a one year break before they are eligible to be elected or appointed again, will be suspended. Current and newly elected and appointed members will be adjusted as follows: 9 members will serve 2014-2017 (additional year) Returning Members 10 members will serve 2015-2018 (additional year) Newly Elected/Appointed Members as of 2015. 9 members will serve 2016-2019 New Term of Service cycle Resolution: Returning and newly elected and appointed CASSC members will serve an additional year. The election or appointment for new members beginning Fall 2016-1 will be for a 3 yearterm. Order of Succession Morris Knapp introduced the new CASSC order of succession. Carol Tulikangas provided an overview of the new proposed order of sucession. This will allow the elected faculty respresentative on the Coordinating Committee the opportunity to provide consistency with CASSC policies and procedures in order to make true and effective changes. Motion: Faculty serving on the Coordinating Committee will serve two-year-terms. As of Fall 2015-1, the faculty representative serving on the Coordinating Committee the previous year will assume the role of CASSC Chair. The new faculty representative elected to serve on the Coordinating Committee will assume the role of the CASSC Chair-Elect and will become Chair the following year.
