FA 51A Benefits Problem Statement: The ARNG does not have a centrally managed T-10 Acquisition Workforce (AWF) Benefits of a centrally managed ARNG AWF: Provides experienced and certified officers to support the ARNG Directorate/NGB missions and to advise senior ARNG officers on Defense Acquisition System processes Places ARNG officers in key HQDA, ASA(ALT), PEO & PM positions to promote ARNG specific interests early in DOD and Army acquisition programs where it is most effective, and to improve transparency Makes the ARNG a full team player in the Army s AWF Allows ASA(ALT) to secure key positions for ARNG officers Allows ARNG to submit requirements for DAC AWF personnel 4
