Train your staff as Accounting Technicians Professional, Practical, Proven www.accountingtechniciansireland.ie

Invest in your finance staff and grow your business When it comes to your finance staff s training and development, have you considered an Accounting Technician qualification? Accounting Technicians Ireland (formerly IATI) is the leading professional body for Accounting Technicians on the island of Ireland. We educate, support and represent over 10,000 people working in the profession. Our qualification is designed with a clear focus on what employers need from accounting staff. In addition to the standard accounting modules, students study a broad range of subjects like business management, IT, law, ethics and taxation. How your organisation can benefit from our training Employers want accounting staff with practical skills, not just paper qualifications. The Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification offers the right balance between theory and practice as it combines a two year study course with two years practical work experience. Accounting Technicians Ireland is an attractive training option for both staff and employers as it allows students the choice to study full-time, part-time or on a distance learning basis. This means that students have the flexibility to work and study at the same time and can qualify in as little as two years. By offering Accounting Technicians Ireland training to your finance staff, you can be confident that they will have more competent accounting skills, combined with better experience. And in addition to helping them progress their skills, you can show that you are an employer committed to their development. Cost of studying Students pay separate annual fees to their college and to our professional body. College fees will vary depending on the type of college and delivery method, but students can expect to pay between 3,200 and 4,000 during the two years it normally takes to pass the exams. Many employers will offer financial support to their staff and will also provide study and exam leave.

Benefits to employers Trained employees with vastly improved accounting skills and knowledge Highly flexible study options that cause minimal disruption to daily work responsibilities Full qualification is possible in as little as two years Motivated and committed employees who do their jobs better Professionally regulated staff governed by a recognised Code of Ethics Advice for employers on how to support staff during their training Career path options for staff interested in continuing their studies, with significant exemptions available for those progressing to other professional accounting and taxation bodies With the Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification, your finance staff will be able to: Prepare financial statements Prepare financial reports and other management information Compute tax liabilities for companies and individuals Set up and manage systems for budgets, stock control, cost accounting and cash reconciliations Set up and mange credit control procedures Further information For further information about training your staff as Accounting Technicians, please contact: Jane Murphy, Accounting Technicians Ireland Tel: 01 649 8100 / 086 030 6391 Email: jmurphy@accountingtechniciansireland.ie

CPD training courses for your staff Accounting Technicians Ireland can also provide support in the development of your staff through our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. Our CPD programme is open to all finance professionals (both members and non-members of Accounting Technicians Ireland) and includes a comprehensive range of training courses which will help staff to grow professionally and realise their full potential. Not only will our training courses benefit your staff, but they will also enhance your organisation s knowledge pool. The focus for all our courses is on practical skills and applicable knowledge, so that staff can implement what they have learned once they return to the office and contribute at a higher level. Furthermore, we provide all our courses at some of the most cost effective rates available on the market today. CPD courses run throughout the year at venues in Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick. We also offer an extensive range of online courses which are available on our website.
