X-L Plastics encourages recycling and aims to reduce waste. To further this objective, X-L Plastics converts plastic scrap into resins, selling the recycled resins. Additionally, the company runs three recycling machines, which allows a substantial amount of the products it produces to be manufactured with recycled material. When it was founded back in 1971, the company initially acted strictly as a distributor of polyethylene film and bags. By 1976, in an effort to ensure that its customers received the highest quality plastic possible, X-L Plastics had begun to manufacture its own products. The company has grown tremendously since its inception all those decades ago. From a mere four employees, X-L Plastics staff has increased to a total of 175 employees. Necessitated by its expansion, the X-L Plastics plant has twice moved to larger facilities. Presently, the plant is located in the city of Clifton, in Passaic County, New Jersey. X-L Plastics current site boasts a combined office and manufacturing space of 250,000 square feet. X-L Plastics currently has 18 extruders working ceaselessly 24 hours a day, and three recycling machines on premises. X-L Plastics is a family-owned business. Three generations worth of hard work and dedication has shaped the company and the way it does business. Moreover, as an American-born-and-bred company, X-L Plastics products are manufactured solely in the United States. SERVICES & DETAILS PRODUCTS X-L Plastics manufactures a wide range of low-density and linear low-density products. X-L Plastics offers an array of sizes to accommodate our customers, as well as the capability to manufacture products to exact specifications. Our main products include a variety of packaging material: carton and drum liners; textile and carpet coverings; and furniture and mattress protectors. ADDITIVES Film properties can also be changed to increase strength, toughness, and clarity by blending resins with different characteristics, as well as by adding chemical components for frac melt, anti-static, and friction control. These manufacturing techniques allow the material to achieve distinct product characteristics so we can meet the exact specifications of our clients.
