OTLIS (operators consortium) 1999-2000: Technical and Project Manager of URBI2000 project, including specification, development, purchasing/production, installation, testing and maintenance of a multimodal transportation contactless ticketing system for the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, with internet, smartcards and contactless technologies. This pilot project was developed as an extension of the ICARE and CALYPSO European projects. The project resulted in: 1) embedded exploitation and validation software in transport vehicles and rail/metro platform gates, 2) central system for the set-up, data analysis and revenue compensation, 3) card personalization system using a SIBS interface, 4) transporting tickets loading system in contact and contactless cards and in internet (e.g. home-pc and Banking Kiosk), integrating several payment methods. OTLIS (operators consortium) - 1998-2000: Technical and Project Manager of CALYPSO project (integration with multiple services and finance operators), for the Transportation Operators of the Lisbon Region (OTLIS), together with French, German, Italian and Belgium partners. Integration of the contactless pass contactless smartcard with PMB (Portuguese electronic purse smartcard) together with SIBS (Portuguese interbank company), Innovatron, Gemplus. Development of smartcard personalization systems, ATM and Internet card reloading and revenue clearing systems. EMEL (city parking) - 1999: Technical and Project Manager on the study of an automatic payment solution based on smartcards and contactless technologies for the EMEL parking system.
