The PhD is not a timed degree. The target is 3 years, but research varies and may take longer or shorter than 3 years. Didactic graduate Courses, like PharmD didactic courses, are not typically offered in summer sessions. Most graduate programs require participation in seminar course (1 cr.) each semester. ºThe number of didactic and research hours depend upon the number completed previous to transition to grad focus. Indicates the same on this and previous page this would be following G3 if G-focus is completed in 3 years.
Benefits Some classes count toward PharmD and PhD w PharmD Classes count toward PhD didactic electives and PhD courses count toward PharmD electives Integration of research and clinical expertise Two degrees in approximately 7 years 9 expected for both sequentially No additional expense stipend + tuition typically paid for PhD yrs
