JAAM Network Monitoring Package BehinAfzarBartarCo. http://behinafzarbartar.ir
JAAM Features Completely web-based Supporting CISCO, Foundry, Extreme and netsys devices Online monitoring of device s status e.g. connection of switch ports, temperature, electricity power, a server ping, etc.) Defining actions based on the changes (e.g send SMS or Email in case of high CPU load) Managing users access to each device or port Run a group of commands on a large number of CISCO, Foundry or Extreme devices Online monitoring of PC displacements within your network 2
JAAM Dashboard Quick access to your network status You are able to see online status of a group of signals (e.g. Temperature, CPU load or connection of a specific port/device) You can define your own groups in JAAM (see next slides) Select a group here 3
JAAM Dashboard Instant access to Green, Yellow and Red signals A signal is defined as a device s temperature, environments humidity, a ports connection or a server s ping 4
Alarms The list of alarms sent to users in form of SMS, Email, etc. You are able to see system alarms between a period of time Defined actions will generate these alarms! (See next slides) Select a period of time 5
Creating signal reports and export to Excel Report of signal changes in a period of time Draws the graph of a select group in a period of time. The Minimum, Maximum and Average value of each signal is also reported Vertical lines depict disconnections 6 Print & Excel Output Draws selected signals
Options of the program Will be discussed in the next slides 7
Defining devices for the program You can add a number of devices at once. Separate their IPs by ; Click to see/change ports (next Slide) Enable/Disable monitoring connected MAC/IPs 8
Details of a CISCO device E.g. Shut/No Shut or Enable/Disable dot1x Status of all ports (Port security/dot1x/connected) are shown All changes made by the system users are logged! Only the ports/signals that is accessible for a user will be listed for her/him Enable/Disable the port s monitoring status. Only the ports/signals that are monitored can be viewed in online dashboard Fa0/3 is not connected and has port security Fa0/4 is connected and has port security Click to change port s status Fa0/7 is shut 9 Fa0/12 has no dot1x
Run a number of commands on a group of Devices You can select a number of devices (CISCO, Foundry, Extreme, etc. ) in a group Highlighted devices state that the commands generated errors on them The commands output will be displayed for all devices. Type a number of commands here Tick on each device to view the device s output here 10
Monitoring connected devices in your network If the device s monitoring is enabled (Port security MAC Learning) all connected devices will be logged You are able to see where a PC is connected or which PC is connected to which port/switch Search in all fields, For example: an IP, MAC or a computer name 11
Define a number of groups Used to categorize devices in a group. All devices should be a member of one or a number of groups for ease of access in JAAM For example in dashboard or report, you can select a group to see its signals Enter a name for the group Tick the signals of each device that should be a member of the group. 12
Managing users access You can create users and define which devices, ports or signals are accessible to each user All users actions on the devices will be logged Users details like mobile no. and email should be entered. They will be used for sending alerts to them 13
Managing users authentication Users can be enabled/disabled A User can be Administrator or a common user A separate user can be defined for CISCO authentication. Else their own user/pass will be used to access CISCO devices 14
View Users Log You can filter the users log based on a user name or a device Click on each column to sort based on that field all over the JAAM software 15
Defining actions for alerting the users Create any action to be taken if a signal s value becomes out of a range E.g. CPU load of a switch should be within the range of 5% to 50%, else an SMS is sent to the specified user Each action is consisted of: 1- Select a device and signal 2- Define an action 3- Define a safe range Interval: repeat the action if the defined condition remains 16
SMS Settings Define GSM modem s settings 17
Mail Server Settings Define your mail server s settings for sending emails to the users 18
Supporting netsysdevices netsys devices enable you to monitor AC/DC electricity power, environment s humidity/temperature/smoke and supports relay for controlling devices and micro switches, etc. For more info please visit: http://behinafzarbartar.ir/images/catalog.pdf 19
