Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology 2016-2017 Child and Family Psychological Services Inc./Integrated Behavioral Associates is a multi-disciplinary behavioral health care group dedicated to providing the highest quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a caring, patientfriendly environment. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, and mental health counselors work collaboratively to provide top-notch care. In providing behavioral health services, we strive to integrate research evidence, clinical expertise, and client values into our practice. We have two primary offices located in Norwood and Weymouth, MA. We also provide embedded services at primary care locations in Holliston, Quincy, Kingston, and Norwell, as well as a neurology practice in Abington, and a women s health center in Weymouth, MA. The 2-year postdoctoral fellowship focuses on training competent clinical psychologists to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and state of the art assessment. The fellowship is oriented to psychologists with solid clinical training and experience, who are seeking a career providing psychotherapy and assessment in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in a permanent staff position following the completion of a two year commitment. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in one of three training tracks: Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychotherapy, Geriatric (& Adult) Psychology, and Adult Psychotherapy. First year fellows will receive broad training in providing evidence-based clinical interventions to a diverse patient population. First year fellows will also participate in didactics, clinical supervision with staff, and group consultation meetings. In addition to the above training opportunities, second year fellows will function as staff psychologists and may have the opportunity for placement in one of our five integrated primary care settings with specialized training and supervision if interested. Providing evidence-based treatment for a variety of disorders, including brief-treatment models, individual and family modalities, and group therapy interventions Utilizing assessment batteries to inform case conceptualization and formulation of treatment plan Didactics Individual supervision (typically at least 2 hours a week) Weekly group supervision Didactics CFPS is an APA-Approved continuing education provider. Fellows will attend many seminars throughout the fellowship on topics that are likely to include the following: Ethics and Professional Issues Psychopharmacology Assessment Psychopathology Psychotherapy Cultural Diversity Supervision First year fellows will receive a minimum of two face-to-face hours of individual supervision weekly, as well as participate in weekly group case consultation meetings. Second year fellows will continue to participate in weekly group peer consultation meetings. However, they will no longer have direct one-on-one supervision with staff. Risk management consultation will be provided as needed throughout one s employment. Clinical Staff Clinical staff at CFPS/IBA includes 36 licensed psychologists of which 8 are neuropsychologists, 3 psychiatrists, 3 psychiatric nurse practitioners, and multiple master s-level clinicians. DeGrass, PhD Director of Clinical Training Clinical and Pediatric Psychologist Pre-requisites The successful applicant will have earned a doctorate in psychology from an appropriate health service provider training program in a properly accredited institution of higher learning and completed an APA accredited internship. All doctoral degree requirements must be expected to be completed prior to the starting date of the fellowship. Expectations The fellowship begins September 6, 2016. However, early start dates may be possible. Psychology fellows typically work Monday through Friday and have no on-call or overnight duties besides providing emergency coverage for patients for whom Page 3 of 4

they are providing ongoing treatment. First year fellows typically work a 40-50 hour work week dependent on clinical and paperwork demands. The specific start and end times will vary day to day, but may include up to 2 evenings a week until 8:00pm. Fellows are expected to average 25 patient contact hours per week during the first year and 30 patient contact hours during the second year. Unlicensed fellows will see patients only when supported by a supervisor on site. Fellows will be expected to apply for licensure and take exams (EPPP and MA state exam) as soon as eligible in Massachusetts. Salary and Benefits There is a stipend of $42,000 for year one with the opportunity to earn additional compensation of approximately $5000-10,000. The stipend for year two will be $60,000 with an opportunity to earn additional compensation of approximately $10,000-$20,000.
