2. Titel 2.1 LED Indicator The Tornado Cloud Traveler LED indicator displays information about the status of the device. Green Tornado Cloud Traveler accesses the Internet successfully Orange Flashing when Tornado Cloud Traveler cannot access the Internet Red Tornado Cloud Traveler is booting 2.2 Ports & Reset button The Tornado Cloud Traveler has one WAN Ethernet port, a Reset Button, a data port and a charging port for charging only. WAN Reset Charging Port for connecting an Ethernet cable to an existing network or an active DSL modem Resest Tthe ornado Cloud Traveler to factory default. Press this button for more than 5 seconds to reset. HDD, Flash Drive, Card Reader, 3G card or Smartphone Supports any 5V chargeable handheld device including,. (red circle). 2.3 Power ON/OFF The Power ON/OFF Button powers off the Tornado Cloud Traveler. 2.4 Hardware Connection This section describes the hardware connection of the Tornado Cloud Traveler to the Internet. You need to prepare the following items before you can establish an Internet connection through your Tornado Cloud Traveler : 1. A notebook/tablet PC with a working wireless networking card (WiFi). 2. Existing network with Internet through a DHCP server or a working ADSL/Cable modem or 3G card/3g Mobile phone. 3. 3. Installing Gateway 1. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of Tornado Cloud Traveler. 2. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port of ADSL/Cable modem with an internet connection.3. Insert the flash drive into the port of Tornado Cloud Traveler when you want to share the contents of this flash drive with your (or other) Wi-Fi device(s). 4. Now your Wi-Fi device can access Internet via your Tornado Cloud Traveler wirelessly. Hotspot 1. Wi-Fi devices can connect to your Tornado Cloud Traveler. 2. The Tornado Cloud Traveler connects to root Access Point (AP) via which the Internet is available. 3. Configure your Tornado Cloud Traveler to Hotspot mode. 4. Now the Wi-Fi devices can access the Internet via your Tornado Cloud Traveler and root AP. 3G Sharing 1. Insert your 3G data card into the port of Tornado Cloud Traveler. 2. Configure your Tornado Cloud Traveler to 3G mode. 3. Now Wi-Fi devices can access the Internet via your 3G network. Android Mobile Sharing 1. Connect your Android phone to the port of the Tornado Cloud Traveler. 2. Enable Tethering on your Android phone. 3. Configure your Tornado Cloud Traveler to Android Mobile mode. 4. 4. Configuration For your convenience, the web GUI allows you to configure Tornado Cloud Traveler sing web browser. This chapter will explain all the functions in this Web GUI. Please turn ON the wireless adapter of PC first. 4.1 Setup Wireless Connection 4.2 Login To access the Tornado Cloud Traveler configuration screens, follow the following steps will enable you to log into the Tornado Cloud Traveler. 1. Launch your web browser, and enter the Tornado Cloud Traveler s IP Address: 192.168.168.1 in the address field then press the Enter key to login. 2. Enter the default User name: admin and Password: admin. Then press OK to login. 3. There are Wizard, WAN, System Setting, Wireless and FileServer icons to help you to configure the Tornado Cloud Traveler easily. 7 Cloud Traveler CT300 Manual 1.0

4. Configuration 4.3 Wizard Click on Wizard and the following screen will pop-up: Click Next >> button to continue. Choose Gateway or Hotspot mode. 4.3.1 Gateway Mode In the Gateway mode, the Tornado Cloud Traveler connects to Internet through ADSL modem, cable modem, 3G card or Android mobile phone. WAN access type: Static IP, DHCP, PPPoE, 3G and Android Mobile. Static IP, DHCP& PPPoE: Cloud Traveler Internet ADSL / Cable Modem Select WAN access type from the drop-down list. DHCP: If you are using DHCP client, just click Apply changes to save the setting. 8 Cloud Traveler CT300 Manual 1.0
