Personal Interview (0-40 points) Each contestant will meet with the panel of judges for approximately 5 minutes. The contestant should have the ability to remain poised while holding a conversation or answering questions. The contestant has the opportunity to show their knowledge of rodeo as well as show their personality one on one. The questions will help the judges determine how well the contestant will work under pressure and how they act or react under certain situations and environments. Horsemanship (0-135 points) Each contestant will be required to provide their own horse, which can be ridden in a bridle (not a snaffle bit) with one hand on the reins. Horsemanship patterns will be provided upon receipt of application. Judges may talk to the contestants, or ask horsemanship questions in the arena, during the Horsemanship. You may be asked to switch horses with another contestant during this section of the competition; your horse must be suitable for others to ride. 1.
