FileDrawer An Enterprise File Sharing and Synchronization (EFSS) solution. In today s world the potential for ready access to data from virtually any device over any type of network connection creates opportunities for efficiencies and radical changes in workflow that simply can t be ignored and mandates innovative solutions enabling these processes from enterprise IT departments. These types of Internet- enabled solutions however, present a data security challenge to an enterprise IT department including: choosing the correct encryption method, tracking user activity, and defending against unauthorized or malicious access. Data access from virtually anywhere implies these solutions must also carry strong security to ensure only authenticated users are accessing corporate data. The solution must also meet stringent auditing and compliance to track and report on user activity with enterprise data. The most common EFSS solutions are DropBox and Box.Net but these solutions have significant security and compliance issues prompting many enterprise IT organizations to limit, and in some cases, block access. Both DropBox and Box.Net are among several solutions enabling users to share data and collaborate with other users over the Internet using disparate devices like smartphones, tablets, and PCs. DropBox recently reported over 100 million users worldwide with over 2 million users paying $120/user/year for data access. With a valuation over $4 billion, DropBox represents the explosive growth in the EFSS segment of the market. However, the most common EFSS solutions available today are hosted in the public cloud presenting most corporate enterprises with serious data security challenges. The difference between a public cloud and a private cloud solution manifests itself in the ways an enterprise manages and controls their data both inside and outside their network. Public cloud solutions, like Amazon Web Services (AWS) typically involve the use of a shared infrastructure and limited security provisions. This infrastructure can include servers, storage, network connectivity, firewalls, etc. Because it is a public cloud service, the data security model is vulnerable to data hacking and malicious attacks. The public cloud infrastructure also does not permit individual enterprises to tailor security preferences, like encryption and authentication, to meet their specific needs; nor does it guarantee accessibility and data ownership for critical corporate data assets. As a result many enterprises have limited or blocked access to public cloud resources from private enterprise networks. Instead, they have opted to implement and manage a private cloud infrastructure where the enterprise IT organization manages and controls all aspects of the infrastructure while providing their users with the innovative

collaboration solutions. The private cloud infrastructure also guarantees ownership of all data and maximizes accessibility by the enterprise. Enter FileDrawer. FileDrawer provides enterprises with an innovative solution to a critical problem enterprise data access from internal and external sources in a secure and compliant manner with a plethora of advanced features. FileDrawer is a highly scalable cloud storage and synchronization solution with accessibility from desktop and laptop sync clients, a user web portal, and a wide array of mobile devices. For example, an insurance claims adjuster could submit a claim or complete a form using a tablet or smartphone and immediately provide data to a central office for processing. Other examples include remote field technicians using tablets and smartphones for access to critical technical data and company executives accessing corporate data from home or remotely. All of this is accomplished without sacrificing data security. Some of the key features include: Large Data Storage access no limit on the amount of storage per user. Support for commonly used authentication methods support for LDAP, Active Directory Services, and local users On- premise appliance model an integrated hardware and software solution installed within the corporate IT infrastructure allowing the enterprise to manage and control data access and retain data ownership. File Versioning and Collaboration retain multiple copies of shared documents to preserve different edits. Highly- Secure support for 2048- bit SSL for in- flight data encryption. 2048- bit SSL encryption is twice as secure as 1024- bit encryption and further enhances the cybersecurity profile of the system. Network Share Support access to existing enterprise file shares Smart Folders user login- based home directory access File Sync clients ability to work off- line and synchronize data when network access is available.
