These courses are credit-bearing, registered on the NQF, and can articulate to national qualifications. OXBRIDGE PROGRAMMES These programmes include short courses and certificates. These courses are offered, assessed, and certified by Oxbridge Academy and are not credit-bearing or registered on the NQF. INTERNATIONAL COURSES AND QUALIFICATIONS ICB Qualifications: These courses are offered by Oxbridge Academy, and assessed and examined by the ICB (Institute for Certified Bookkeepers). Courses are credit-bearing and registered on the NQF. ABMA Courses: These courses are offered by Oxbridge Academy (an ABMA-recognised training provider), and are assessed and examined by ABMA Education in the UK. ABMA Diplomas are internationally recognised, and may give students access to degree programmes at certain UK universities. ISO Courses: These courses are offered by Oxbridge Academy in conjunction with DQS, and are aligned with the relevant international standards. AAT Courses: These AAT-accredited accounting courses are offered in conjunction with Oxbridge Training Institute (OTI) as quality partner.

What are secretarial courses? Secretarial courses are designed to equip students with the skills that they need to work in the secretarial or office administration environment. What does secretarial work involve? A secretary s main duty is to provide administrative support to managers or senior staff members. How will you be assessed? Oxbridge Certificates: You will be assessed through written assignments, which you can submit via post or e-mail, or via the Online Student Portal. You will not be required to write any exams. National Certificates: You will be assessed through a combination of written assignments and exams. You will be able to write your exams at your nearest designated exam centre. (The exam centres are situated all over South Africa).
What will you be able to do once you ve successfully completed your course? Once you have completed your secretarial course, you should have developed the skills that you need to work as an efficient secretary, receptionist, or office administrator in the office environment. Depending on which course you have completed, you may be able to apply for positions such as the following: Secretary Executive Secretary Receptionist Personal Assistant Office Admin Assistant Office Administrator Medical Office Receptionist Medical Secretary Legal Office Receptionist Legal Secretary Keep in mind that a certificate alone is not enough to guarantee you a job you also need to make sure that you have the right personal skills and characteristics to succeed in this line of work.
