Panagiotopoulos, E. Roumeliotis, E. Kehris, A LANGUAGE SWITCHING SYSTEM FOR BILINGUAL KEYBOARDS, Patent No. 1002394, International Classification G06F 3/023, July 1996. This is about a system for switching between languages in a bilingual keyboard (e.g. Greek English) by using a foot activated switch which is adapted to the serial port of a computer, while it also allows a serial mouse to connect to the same port. This is particularly useful during typing that incorporates frequent changes between two languages, because the user is not forced to move his hands from key typing positions.
