References to associated materials include this document, Participant Data Replication Loader Implementation Note. 1.1 Disclaimer 1. This software and the associated materials are provided by AEMO to users free of charge to interface to the AEMO MMS. 2. A user runs the software or uses the materials at its own risk. 2 Introduction 2.1 Overview The improvements made in pdrloader version 7.2 release are to increase the functionality of the product as well as a bug fix that may result in missing files not being retrieved. 2.1.1 Functional Enhancements Functionality to support report subscribe/unsubscribe actions using file based protocol. This will not be available until the next release of Replication Manager software Functionality to create a dump of configuration data to a file to assist with AEMO support Functionality to request missing configuration data from AEMO systems 2.1.2 Bug fixes Corrected issue with timeout of successful file archive requests if the requested file is not received from the AEMO systems 2 Sept 2010 Final Version No: 2.20 Participant Data Replication Loader Implementation Note PAGE 5

3 Implementation Instructions 3.1 Full Install v7.2 For a full install of pdrloader v7.2 as a new implementation, there are two alternative files: Participant Data Replication Loader GUI Installer v7.2.0 on the "EITS Publications" web page (pdrloader_gui_inst_v7.2.0.zip), requiring the minimum data entry for localisation and all implementation steps are automatic. Participant Data Replication Loader v7.2.0 on the "EITS Publications" web page (pdrloader_v7.2.0.zip), requiring use of a text editor to set the properties and implementation steps are manual. For summary installation instructions, see the EMMS Data Interchange Guide on the "EITS Publications" web page. For more detailed instructions, see: Participant Data Replication Loader GUI Installer Guide on the "EITS Publications" web page. Participant Data Replication Batcher User Guide on the "EITS Publications" web page. 3.2 Upgrading from v7.1.7 to v7.2 This document, Participant Data Replication Loader Implementation Note, provides the details to migrate an existing pdrloader v7.1.7 installation to v7.2. 3.2.1 Property file updates The release of pdrloader v7.2 introduces a number of new properties associated with new functionality. The summary of the new properties are: New Property Name file_load_auto_config Description Flag that controls whether missing configuration is automatically requested and populated. Default is false. file_load_remote_support_dump_request flag that controls whether a support dump file can be remotely requested for purposes of providing support. Default is true. Please refer to the Participant Data Replication Loader User Guide for information about how to configure these properties. 3.2.2 Upgrade installation process The steps required to perform an in-situ upgrade of a pdrloader v7.1.7 installation to the v7.2 release are contained in <database_type>_readme.txt that is included with the application release. 2 Sept 2010 Final Version No: 2.20 Participant Data Replication Loader Implementation Note PAGE 6
