NetScope: Powerful Network Management NetScope is a comprehensive tool set designed to effectively monitor and manage your network, from small installations, right through to complex multiple site enterprise networks. NetScope is suitable for small single office networks and scalable for medium to large networks consisting one or multiple locations. NetScope has an option to suit your budget and requirements and when you need to grow, NetScope scales to grow with you. We supply NetScope as an appliance with zero installation configuration required, it simply slots into your network to get you up and running quickly. An easy to use web interface gives you convenient access to management tools from any device and location.

Key Features Monitor Real time, per second monitoring of network activity. Monitor Skype, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Email and many more layer 7 applications. Historical traffic information is retained at a per second resolution, limited only by available storage. Demystify network activity by showing traffic broken up into the useful segments. Visualise network health at a glance or drill down into traffic to pinpoint traffic that is degrading the network. Alerting Receive alerts and deal with emerging issues before they become emergencies. Choose from predefined alerts, such as link outages, performance degradation, sudden higher than expected bandwidth usage or create tailored alerts to cater to you unique network requirements. Reporting Automatically produce bandwidth management reports. Easily produce before and after reports to prototype a new applications impact on bandwidth. Determine emerging network trends and plan for the changing demands on your network with full historical data access and traffic flow information over potentially years of data. Shaping, QoS, Bandwidth Management Block or restrict unwanted recreational web sites and applications. Guarantee resources to critical applications and tasks, for example: prioritise Citrix traffic ahead of file transfer activity. Shape traffic efficiently to improve network performance using your existing resources. No need to provision more bandwidth.

Monitoring Features Understand the What, Who, Why and When of your Network. The network is the lifeblood of the enterprise, without it, how would your business be impacted? Monitoring network performance and activity is important, it gives you total visibility of one of your most important assets and offers you the tools and insight to ensure that it continues to run smoothly. Superior Network Intelligence. NetScope offers a variety of tools for keeping watch over your network. At a glance system health gives you a simple, easy to understand overview of the network status, letting you know when something isn't quite right. When you need to go deeper to quickly identify and resolve performance issues or outages, per second visibility, in real time or historically, lets you home in on the source of the issue. Proactive Alerting Features trigger notifications that reach out to support staff and allow them to take action on emerging issues before they critically impact your network and users. 'Drill down' to find the source of network activity. Predefined Monitoring Settings. Break down and demystify traffic into useful segments, by location, application, server, traffic type, device and more. NetScope comes preconfigured to monitor a wide range of different network traffic classes such as general websites (HTTP/HTTPS), email, Citrix traffic, SQL database traffic and much more.

Often, the predefined traffic classes will give you a good view of network activity right out of the box. Modify the provided monitoring templates or create your own customised configuration to monitor situations and activity unique to your network. Key Features Demystify network traffic by showing traffic broken up into the useful segments. Help secure your network by identifying unauthorised peer to peer traffic, Denial of Service attacks, trojans, malware or virus attacks. Determine network usage trends and plan for the changing demands on your network with full historical data access and traffic flow information. Visual presentation of the network health at a glance. Limit the impact of large file transfers on user traffic. End-to-end monitoring with views for site, application, server, traffic type, device and more.

Alerting Features Know, Before your Users do. Customised alerts and notifications are designed to help you respond to the most immediate needs of your network. When a network event occurs NetScope's alerting features work to connect the staff responsible for maintaining a system with the source of the problem in the quickest time possible. Custom alerts can be crafted to reach out to the relevant party or parties and allow them to take action on emerging issues before they critically impact your network and users. Alerts can be created and customised on a range of criteria such as high round trip times, traffic congestion, link down, traffic spikes, traffic sources and more. Each alert is assigned a severity level which is conveyed to the staff member receiving the alert and reflected on the overall Network Heath Status in NetScope. From Alert to Resolution. Alert logs provide an overview of triggered events and are used as a launching point for investigation through NetScope's per second historic and real time monitoring features, helping you drill down to the find the source of the event. Key Features Choose from predefined alerts that detect unexpected increases in bandwidth utilisation, link outages, performance degradation and more. Create tailored alerts specific to your network and requirements. Use Alerts are part of a troubleshooting workflow, working with NetScope's per second real time and historical monitoring to get to the source of an issue quickly.

Reporting Features NetScope's reporting capabilities are a powerful tool for determining emerging trends and planning for the changing demands on you network. NetScope collects and aggregates network activity data on a per second basis over time periods spanning potentially years, limited only by the physical storage space available to NetScope. You lose no resolution when investigating historical data, a key benefit for long term traffic analysis and trending. Reports can be automatically produced from a comprehensive list of predefined templates or tailored to your own requirements. Reports can be generated on demand or scheduled for regular periods and sent to the relevant personnel as required. Key Features Per second historical traffic data. Reporting periods of potentially years, limited only by available storage. Determine network usage trends and plan for the changing demands on your network with full historical data access and traffic flow information. Demystify network traffic by showing traffic broken up into meaningful components and highlight activity most relevant to you. Easy output and distribution.

Shaping Features Not all Applications are Equal. When applications and events compete for bandwidth, excessive latency and congestion can burden an unmanaged network leading to poor performance. Performance management is essential to ensure that your business critical applications and services get the resources they need and your network continues to operate smoothly in all circumstances. Monitoring gives you Visibility. Shaping gives you Control. From a problem solving approach NetScope's monitoring features are invaluable in tracking down problems, but once an issue is uncovered shaping and QoS features are the tools required to resolve a problem. NetScope's shaping features are designed to categorise network activity by application, user, protocol, IP, port and more and to dynamically allocate resources to business critical applications when and where they are needed. Give high priority to network data types that are important, lower priorities for other types and block unwanted traffic entirely. NetScope gives you full control over Quality of Service rules in an easy to manage web interface and predefined shaping policies are supplied to get you up and running with a minimum of fuss.

Before and after shaping Key Features Provide Quality of Service (QoS) to your business critical applications by giving them the required amount of bandwidth to maintain and enhance application performance, even when competing traffic exists. Unwanted peer to peer traffic? Facebook? Youtube? Cap or eliminate unwanted, recreational or non business critical traffic. Maximise the performance of your existing network infrastructure through dynamic bandwidth allocation and reallocation. Increase performance, not bandwidth. Real time shaping policy deployment, respond to network performance issues as they occur. Limit the impact of large file transfers on user traffic. Block a virus-infected machine.
