MARITZA MENDEZ [Stockton, CA]: I do them at home occasionally but still learning MEIXUN ZHENG [San Francisco, CA]: Students seem to prefer communicating with peers via Facebook, but with faculty they don't seem want to add their teachers as FB friends:) Kevin Kelly [San Francisco, CA]: There Linda Silva: I teach an online course and Blackboard and use WIMBA for meeting with students and sharing our computers Kevin Kelly [San Francisco, CA]: There's a calculus instructor at San Francisco State who uses Skype (both he and his TAs have office hours to provide multiple opportunities to meet...both day and night) Kevin Kelly [San Francisco, CA]: He combines Skype with Google Picasa to look at pictures of student's work (can be submitted by cell phone) VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS HOW? Kevin Kelly [San Francisco, CA]: I use them to engage with students who have questions that can't be answered asynchronously. I also use them to have regular meetings with Teaching Assistants for large classes
