From the horse s mouth! Experiences and tips from current Indian students and some alumni [1/2] Sweden is clean and efficient with good access to public transport Most people say that Swedes make loyal friends There are Asian food stores in most university towns which also sell Indian food Universities have excellent facilities including modern libraries Use the opportunity to travel and see Europe Take your master thesis seriously Get an international drivers license
What should / shouldn t you carry from India to Sweden Textbooks If you prefer paperbacks over e-books - books are expensive in Sweden Ethernet cable Most apartments do not provide this and you might need it as soon as you move Basic 2-pin convertor plug International Debit Card / travel card For use in the time that your Swedish bank account is being activated A pair of comfortable walking shoes Since there is a lot of walking around that you would do Winter wear Carry just about enough to make it to the store! 1-2 wool sweaters & shawls are sufficient Buy clothing and accessories for Sweden, in Sweden. They would withstand the climate of the country better than anything from India Food Everything you need is available in Sweden. There are also Indian food stores that stock specific items. IKEA helps! Too much of anything Travel light and pick things up as you go along
