The first report should be made within 6 months after enrollment. 2. Scientific competence: 15 credits minimum Credits can be achieved through successful participation of special lectures and seminars of the mathematics and natural science faculties (without Psychology); confirmed by the lecturer (1 C per week per semester (SWS)). successful planning and execution of interdisciplinary experiments, measurements, calculations etc., which exceed the routine dimension, lead to mutual additional benefit, and are scientific courses (up to 5 C when confirmed by the supervising lecturer). scientific lectures given within: o group seminars of the research group (1 C / 2 lectures) o research group overlapping seminars (1 C / 1 lecture) o national scientific symposia (2 C / 1 lecture) o international symposia (3 C / 1 lecture) portfolio of attendance of at least 12 guest lecture within Institute's Colloquia, GDCh Colloquia, etc. 3. Key qualifications: 6 credits minimum At least 4 presentations of the candidate s own research results at scientific conferences, workshops of the PhD programme or seminars involving a wider audience than an individual research group (1 credit for each presentation, 4 credits at most). Participation of key competence courses to the extent of at least 2 credits (courses of lectures on employment opportunities in chemistry, foreign language courses, project management courses, training for job applications, commercial legal protection, etc.). 4. Teaching Appropriate participation in non-independent teaching and supervision (as a rule 2 hours per week per semester (SWS)), in basic teaching. 2

II. Compulsory enrollment (matriculation) The graduate student must be enrolled (matriculated) for the entire time of the doctorate. Only registration and administration fees will be required (no tuition fee). III. Exemption clause If the PhD student, for reasons not under his or her control, is unable to achieve some or all of the required qualification, or if achieving them would result in unreasonable hardship, the faculty board may consent to an application to do without them. 3
