Today s News Ethernet Alliance announces the formation of Data Center Subcommittee Focused on existing and emerging Ethernet technologies and standards for the Data Center. 2

Broad Industry support Ethernet Alliance Data Center Subcommittee chartered in May 2008 Technical Chair - Anthony Faustini, Cisco Marketing Chair - Sunil Ahluwalia, Intel 50 EA members on the subcommittee representing 27 member companies 3

Subcommittee Charter Act as a reference and resource for industry for both existing and emerging data center-focused Ethernet technologies Identify additional areas of technical work to ensure Ethernet leadership as the fabric in the data center Sponsor interoperability events and plug-fests for various emerging technologies through third party test facilities Align with IEEE 802 task force members and T11 members to promote emerging Ethernet standards for data center networking 4
