That s why we ve partnered with the Colorado Community College System through the Admission Promise program to provide you with a path to transfer to JWU once you ve completed your associate degree.
promise Through the Admission Promise program you ll have regular contact with a JWU advisor to help you stay on track to earn your bachelor s degree right from the start. And when you meet all program requirements, JWU will welcome you as a junior transfer student.

When you transfer to JWU through Admission Promise, you ll benefit in many ways, including focus on your goal Affordable tuition transferring to JWU as a junior means your tuition will be more affordable because you can earn your bachelor s degree in two years. Scholarships JWU offers many different types of scholarships, including a Transfer Scholarship for students who ve completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter-credit hours or more at a previous college with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Access to advisors JWU will provide you with an advisor to assist you every step of the way with selecting the courses you ll need to earn your associate degree and transfer to JWU as a junior. Easy transition by the time you complete your associate degree, you will have had the opportunity to visit JWU, meet faculty in your major, learn about the pace and expectations of university course work, and become familiar with the student services available to you. On-campus housing option transfer students in the Promise program are not required to live on campus; however, on-campus housing options for new transfer students are available.
start where to start To take advantage of the Admission Promise program, you must be a first-time freshman in your first semester at one of the 13 Colorado Community Colleges participating in the program. A first-time freshman is defined as having no college credit enrollments after graduation from high school or after earning a GED. There are no high school GPA or ACT/SAT test requirements to participate in the program. Once you are admitted to the Admission Promise program, your continued participation depends on meeting its requirements.

register registration Registering for the Admission Promise is simple. You ll first have to apply online to one of Colorado s community colleges. The community college application will have a section about the Admission Promise program. Simply check the box in that section to indicate your intent to participate in the program with Johnson & Wales University. There s no charge for participating in the Admission Promise program; help and guidance from university advisors is provided free of charge. You must also follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition to JWU: Select community college courses from the JWU articulation agreement for your intended major at JWU. Meet at least once per academic term with your assigned JWU admissions representative. Grant permission for your JWU admissions representative to review your community college transcripts, and request your community college transcript be sent with your JWU admission application. Submit a completed application for JWU admission, with no application fee required, and apply for completion of the appropriate associate degree at the beginning of your final community college semester. Earn at least a 2.7 cumulative GPA at the community college. Some programs may have additional or higher admission requirements. Be awarded the appropriate associate degree prior to enrolling at JWU.
