South China Normal University Introduction South China Normal University (SCNU) was established in 1933, a prestigious university in Guangdong Province and a member of Project 211. It is a comprehensive university, consisting of diverse branches of learning, such as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, and management. SCNU consists of 24 schools and one department, offering 67 undergraduate programs, 122 master programs and 45 doctoral programs. There are over 2,700 faculty, nearly 30,000 students and 3 multifunctional libraries with more than 3.1 million books. in China, with excellent public transport system, pleasant weather and two large trade fairs (Canton Fair) in this city every, which attracts many foreigners. SCNU is one of the first universities approved by China s Ministry of Education to teach Chinese as a foreign language.
