BIOGRAPHIES Rev. Ge01"ge ]. NlulcaheYJ Pastor The Rev. George Mulcahey was born and grew up on Chicago' outh Side. He attended St. Bernard's grade school, Quigly Preparatory Seminary, and St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, where he was ordained to the prie thood by the late George Cardinal Mundelein on pril 22nd, 1933. Fr. Mulcahey' first assignment after Ordination was to Visitation Parish where he erved for even year. For eight years after that he was assigned to St. Symphorosa Parish. In 1948 he was appointed to St. Dorothy Pari h wher he pent nine years doing the priestly work for which he is o well equipped. In June of 1957 the late Samuel Cardinal Stritch assigned to Fr. Mulcahey the ta k of establishing a new pari h in the town of Wheeling. With his characteristic zeal and energy he quickly began hi new labors for Christ and His Church.

Today we see the material results of those labors in the Church and school which he, with the wholehearted cooperation of his parishioners, has erected. Only God Himself knows the great spiritual effects in the souls of those to whom Fr. Mulcahey has ministered during these past two years. His parishioners see in him the truly Christ-like spirit which must characterize every good priest. May Christ, the eternal High Priest, reward 'with great abundance the endless efforts of Fr. Mulcahey in establishing His kingdom on earth. May Almighty God spare him many years to continue to form in the image of Christ, the souls of the people of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. The Rev. Raymond P. Nugent attended Our Lady of Good Counsel grammar school, Ouigley Preparatory Seminary, and St. Mary of Rev. Raymond P. 1\ ligenl the Lake eminary, Mundelein, Ill. He was a member of the first cia s of prie t ordained by Cardinal Stritch for the archdioce e of Chicago on May 18, 1940. After his ordination he was assigned to St. Mary's Training School (Maryville), Des Plaines. In October of 1943 he was appointed to Visitation Parish and in 1956 was assigned to St. Sebastian's Parish, In July of 1958 he was appointed to assi t Fr. Mulcahey in St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

OUR P ARISH HISTORY On June 25, 1957, the late Cardinal tritch appointed the Reverend George M ulachey to form a new parish at Wheeling, Illinois.
