1. Introduction LIVE@containerchain is a new, innovative and interactive website that will allow you to track your trucks, manage your drivers and your fleet, allocate jobs to your drivers and receive real time information in relation to your truck movements. In addition, it will also link to your Containerchain Notification account and enable you to be egate ready. Click on the LIVE@CONTAINERCHAIN banner to return to the home screen. Fig 1.2- Live Transporter login screen 2. Admin 2.1 Company The company tab allows users to setup their basic company information, such as: Company Name ABN / ACN no. Company Addresses Ports of Operation P a g e 3 10
2.2 Delivery Addresses The Delivery addresses tab shows all delivery addresses entered manually by the user. To add a delivery address, users can simply complete the following steps: 1. Click the Add Address button (shown below) 2. Users can then enter relevant information, with fields as follows: 2.3 Customers 3. Once information is entered, click Save The customers tab allows users to view a list of customers (freight forwarders and importers / exporters) that have requested a relationship with them. Transporters will be able to receive jobs from customers that show as active in this screen. 2.4 Roles P a g e 4 10
Roles define what access rights users have, based on group permissions rather than individual permissions. Primarily, roles must be assigned a name by the administrator, with desired permissions being allocated. To add a role, complete the following steps: 1. Click the Admin tab 2. Click Roles 3. Users are (as the name suggests) the individuals that use Live. These users can be setup via the Users tab under Admin. To create a user, a role must first be created, as roles will ultimately define what they can and can t access within Live. To setup a user, complete the following steps: 1. Click Admin 2. Click Users 3. Click Add User 4. This will take you to the following screen: 5. Enter the desired information 6. Click Add 7. Activate user 8. Reset password to desired password. P a g e 6 10
2.6 Vehicles The Vehicles tab is used to setup a vehicle for which you would like to use driver with. By setting up a vehicle in the Vehicles tab, you will then be able to provide a login to a driver using a vehicle with that registration. An example is shown below: 3. Operations 3.1 Monitor Movements The Monitor Movements tab allows users to monitor current and closed movements of their company s trucks. This screen shows a grid that can be filtered by various criteria, with export to excel being allowed also. 3.2 Movement Instruction This tab acts as a substitute for transporter whom do no not utilise the task modules. This tab (as the name suggests) will allow transporters to plan and dispatch jobs to drivers, without interference from the task modules. 3.3 Message Drivers P a g e 7 10
This function allows users to send a message to drivers. This dispatched message will display on the driver s smart device that runs the driver application. Users can select the recipient to send the broadcast message with a subject heading and message (much the same as an email). This screen also shows a record of previously dispatched messages, with criteria such as the following appearing: Date / Time Read (Yes / No) From / To Message The user has the ability to select all or select none, via clicking the tick box or empty box at the top right hand side of the screen accordingly. 4. Inquiry 4.1 Journey History Journey History allows users to track the history of a vehicle s movements, via specifying a date range, and a vehicle registration. 4.2 Driver Breaks The Driver Breaks tab allows users to specify a truck driver s name and date range; in turn allowing them to view drivers break times. 4.3 Pre-Trip Logs Pre-trip logs allows users to view whether or not a driver has the capacity to safely operate his / her vehicle, via the viewing of a number of elements, namely: Whether or not driver is fit for duty Whether or not driver has taken their break Whether or not driver has completed the pre-trip check Hours of Rest Odometer reading This screen can act as a substitute for a driver s logbook. 5. 5.1 My user has been created, however I am unable to login to Live@containerchain.com - Please ensure user is activated and their password has been reset. 5.2 I want my user to be created with only certain access rights, rather than full administrator rights. Is there any way that I can ensure this? - In order to provide varies access, roles must be created in order to reflect various access rights within Live - To create a role: 1. Click admin tab 2. Click roles tab 3. Click add role 4. Allowed desired access for user 5.3 The account that I want to setup a user for is not showing up under Accounts > Account type > Search. Why is this happening? - The account may not be a Freight Forwarder, but an Importer / Exporter instead. Try selecting Importer / Exporter under account type. 5.4 A user has requested that I reset their password. How do I do this? - To reset a user s password, enter Accounts > Account type > Search. Once you have found the user s account, click view, and then click reset. 5.5 I want to be able to add a group of users, all with identical permissions. Do I have to enter their permissions one-by-one? - Live has the ability to create roles which embody identical permissions and access rights, for easy selection when creating users. Refer to the role creation section, followed by the user creation section. 6. Definitions P a g e 9 10
Admin - Admin refers to administrator, which is generally the person that oversees all company activity in the Live website. Customers - Freight forwards and Importers / Exports who the transporter services. Delivery Addresses - Addresses that the transporter wishes to add themselves. Map - Allows tracking of trucks. Geofence - A virtual border that acts the same as a fence would to a yard. Geofences define when trucks receive notification that they are allowed into a park or not. Role - A role allows users to assign access rights by group rather than by individual. To do so, see section 2.5 - Add Role. User Permissions - What users can and can t access. Also known as Access Rights. Vehicle - Refers to a truck. P a g e 10 10
