Functional Title Classification FLSA Status Reports To Team Purpose Vice President of Marketing and Engagement Director, Marketing & Communications UWW 400 N Exempt President & CEO Marketing & Engagement Reporting to the President &CEO, the VP of Marketing & Engagement will provide leadership and strategic direction for all United Way of Forsyth County marketing and communications, brand management, marketing analytics & ROI metrics, member and community engagement and public relations initiatives, driving growth and engagement and enhancing brand equity and awareness. This individual will demonstrate creativity and operational excellence in leading bold marketing and engagement programs and driving short and longrange marketing strategy and goals, while accelerating the development of digital marketing competencies and programs. S/he will direct, prioritize and ensure that all resources, plans and tactics are successfully executed, resulting in the attainment of targeted organizational goals. In addition, s/he will demonstrate deep understanding of effective marketing practices and skill in identifying unmet needs, building and implementing focused, integrated marketing & engagement plans to meet those needs. The VP of Marketing & Engagement will manage a team of resultsoriented staff and deliver an engagement experience that enhances loyalty and personal advocacy among members and providers. This individual s team will be responsible for specific operational elements of the brand and marketing strategy, including governance of the crossfunctional marketing plan process. S/he will lead company efforts to improve our customers experiences and embed a customer engagement orientation into the organization. S/he will ensure that marketers will become stewards of the stakeholder journey and that the company supports Engagement marketing (creating meaningful interactions with stakeholders). Responsibilities, in priority order: Key Responsibilities 1. Develops strategic plans and corresponding budgets designed to meet short and longterm marketing and growth objectives. 2. Create annual Marketing plan and budget and implements marketing programs as aligned with the Strategic growth plan. 3. Tracks and evaluates results of marketing campaigns and programs and how it contributes to revenue. Develops and implements internal data tracking measures to analyze market trends and demographic data concerning donors and potential donors. 4. Envisions creative marketing and branding campaigns, provides direction to the marketing and engagement team and oversees the development and production of marketing materials that are consistent with the brand strategy. 5. Ensures that the brand is consistently promoted throughout all target markets. Ensures that branding efforts achieve maximum impact and favorably increase donor and community impressions. 6. Drives innovative strategic thinking & planning, managing opportunities to enhance UWFC s unique value proposition and determine performance gaps and develop actionable plans to close those gaps. Interface with all functional departments across UWFC with emphasis on donor points of contact and responsible for developing an explicit engagement experience strategy across donor, corporate partner and community touchpoints and channels while ensuring its effective execution in conjunction with key partners across the business. 7. Plays a key role in transforming the endtoend experience our customers will have into a consistent engagement strategy and building capabilities that will positively impact donor satisfaction. 8. Defines and manages the set of practices that create a consistent, shared understanding of who stakeholders are, what they want and need, and how they perceive the interactions they're having with UWFC both today and in the future Minimum Qualifications Extensive marketing experience including brand marketing, event marketing and digital marketing experience. Experience developing and executing public relations plans that increase awareness and comprehension of brand Demonstrated experience leading and growing a marketing department and digital and event marketing programs. Experience with digital interactions (mobile, web, social, targeted content) as well as traditional such as physical locations, kiosks, phone, email, correspondence etc. Demonstrated history of using customer and external data to support planning for stakeholder interaction and to measure the success of the stakeholder experience Experience in statistical analysis and market research Successful track record in managing projects that entail collaboration with crossfunctional teams Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution Preferred Qualifications Attributes:
