XYZ is working to increase the recruiting efforts for 2015 while creating sustainable strategies to retain, onboard and advance military veteran talent. Military veteran recruiting is a key strategic initiative with senior leadership support and XYZ would like to explore a potential partnership with TalentRISE and ConnectVETS as solutions partners to address the following challenges in 2015 and beyond. Conduct a Job analysis of employment opportunities to determine which employment opportunities or job families BEST match up to military veteran transferrable skills and experiences. Review existing outreach strategies and provide consultation on the development of a military recruiting employer of choice branding and recruitment outreach communications strategy designed to optimally target transitioning veteran talent with the desired transferrable skills and experience defined by the job analysis. Provide consultation on the effective integration of military veteran employee resource group into all military recruitment, onboarding and development strategies. Provide skills training for recruiters, HR staff and hiring managers on recruitment, onboarding, career development/mentoring related to veteran talent. 2

Emily Garrity - Military Transition & Recruitment / Senior Consultant Emily is the co- Founder & President of ConnectVETS.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Transitioning Today s Military to Tomorrow s Workforce. Emily has over 7 years of military veteran and spouse career transition consulting and mentoring experience which she has used in her paid consulting work with employers on effective veteran recruitment and retention practices. Emily s expertise is in building the bridge between military service and civilian employment with the ConnectVETS COR (Connect to Onboard for Retention) corporate consulting and training services that helps employers effectively make right fit veteran outreach connections and then understand how to effectively assess, interview, hire and retain veteran talent.
