Not only was the content thoroughly engaging in getting to know God better, and growing towards Christian maturity, but what I discovered motivated me to explore these great truths even further. Denzil Abrahams Church minister in Kenilworth, Cape Town If you want to equip yourself for any form of Bible teaching ministry in your local church, or if you just want to deepen your knowledge of the Bible, the GWC EXPLORE programme is an ideal way to do it. It will equip you with good Bible handling skills and will develop your ability to teach the Word of God to others. I can highly recommend it. Bishop Desmond Inglesby Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church in South Africa HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS: You may begin the first module, EXPLORE the Bible, at any time, but there are fixed examination periods for all modules held annually in February, May, August, and November. On enrolment, you will receive a workbook containing the study material for the module you are doing. Apart from the workbook and a Bible, you do not need any other books. We suggest that you set aside 5 hours per week for devoted study. If this is too much, you may want to spread the module over two terms.
Examinations are not compulsory, although we recommend them as an aid for serious study. Successful completion of the examinations of all 8 modules will result in the awarding of the EXPLORE Certificate at our annual George Whitefield College Graduation ceremony. We want people from all walks of life and church backgrounds to have access to Biblical Theological education. We do not specify any prior entrance requirements, and therefore the programme is not registered on the National Qualifications Framework. This in no way detracts from the value of the course, as past students will testify. So, whether you want to study merely for your own personal enrichment, or whether you want to be equipped to serve more effectively in your local church - EXPLORE is the programme for you!
