COUNCIL OF LUTHERAN CHURCHES JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: RESPONSIBLE TO: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Project manager General Secretary Project and programme management communica5ons and administra5ve du5es The Council of Lutheran Churches will be looking for a skilled theologian with a well grounded knowledge of Lutheran theology and tradi5on and a sympathe5c a@tude towards ecumenical coopera5on. A theologian who would like to take this extraordinary opportunity to raise awareness of and strengthen a Lutheran presence in the UK. Also we would be looking for a candidate with interest and skills for communica5on. JOBDESCRIPTION: 1. Project management of CLC s ac5vi5es for the 500 th anniversary of the Reforma5on in 2017, working closely with the General Secretary, CLC s Reforma5on 2017 CommiNee and CLC Members a. sugges5ng and ini5a5ng ideas b. liaising with venues, partner Churches, organiza5ons and speakers/ar5sts c. developing and overseeing plans and logis5cs d. raising awareness and liaising with the media e. engaging and mo5va5ng volunteers from among CLC Members and partners 2. In coopera5on with General Secretary arranging and hos5ng seminars, talks and other events a. educa5onal, worship, social, table talks etc. for CLC Members and guests (conceiving themes/topics, liaising with speakers/trainers, confirming venues, raising awareness 3. Suppor5ng and represen5ng the General Secretary and/or CLC at external events and ecumenical mee5ngs. 4. Communica5on a. Assis5ng the General Secretary in the development of the CLC s online and social media presence; regularly upda5ng the websites and social media; b. Designing (using PowerPoint and Publisher) and distribu5ng no5ces and posters in hard copy, email, social media; c. Designing and producing The Lutheran Link, the regular CLC newslener (online and hard copy) including wri5ng material as necessary, gathering items from Members and external items of interest, assembly, and distribu5on; Page 1! of! 5

Summary of terms and condibons The project manager will be employed by The Danish Church Abroad/Danish Seamen s Church under terms and condi5ons following Danish regula5ons. The project manager will be expected to work 20 hours a week, based mainly at the Interna5onal Lutheran Student Centre in London. Page 2! of! 5
