Using Cost Recovery with Teraview Contents About Using Cost Recovery with Teraview Importing for the Deposit Account Activity Report (for search fees) Importing for the Electronic Registration Activity Report (for costs) Creating Default Directory Paths and File Names About Using Cost Recovery with Teraview Cost Recovery imports both fees charged to the law firm for a search, such as viewing an image, and costs that revolve around registering a document, such as registration fees. This document describes the procedures for importing Teraview data into PCLaw using Cost Recovery. Teranet has changed the data export format of the Deposit Account Activity report and the Electronic Registration Activity Report, effective on Teraview v5.1. The PCLaw Cost Recovery layouts described in this document implement these changes. Note: Fees or search fees referred to in this document are charges incurred while conducting on-line searches. They do not refer to fees the law firm charges the client in PCLaw. TM Teranet, Teraview, and e-reg are registered trademarks or trademarks of Teranet Inc. All rights reserved. Importing for the Deposit Account Activity Report (for search fees) PCLaw provides two cost recovery layouts to import the data file for the Deposit Account Activity report: Teraview Dep. Non-Taxable processes the non-taxable portion of search fees Teraview Dep. Taxable processes the taxable service charge. Both Cost Recovery layouts are required to fully import all data into PCLAW from the Deposit Account Activity report file. Tip: If the Delete After Processing option is selected when processing the data file on the first pass, the data file will not be available to process for the second layout. Therefore the data imported into PCLaw will be incomplete. Exhibit 1. The Cost Recovery window displaying Teraview templates
