QAD Learning Center Demonstration Guide July 2, 2015

Overview This demonstration focuses on one aspect of QAD Online Tools the QAD Learning Center and shows how this functionality supports the vision of the Effective Enterprise; where every business process is working at peak efficiency and perfectly aligned to the company s strategic goals. QAD Online Tools QAD Learning Center Key Points Enabling the Effective Enterprise

Related Metrics Leveraging the QAD Learning Center to maintain peak knowledge about your QAD Enterprise Applications will affect Information Technology (IT) Effectiveness. Typical metrics related to IT Effectiveness include Operational Efficiency and IT Innovation, measured by IT Spend / Revenue and Projects / Enhancements. Using the QAD Learning Center to manage and monitor continuing education, for both application users and technical staff, increases operational efficiency and reduces cost. Reduced knowledge attrition and better understanding of available functionality will also increase IT innovation, measured as the gains in competitive advantage resulting from business improvements enabled by the solution. Additional metrics and the relative importance of each one will depend on your definition of the Effective Enterprise. You can monitor performance against your defined metrics using a combination of Business Intelligence Dashboards, Operational Metrics, Browses and Reports. There are instructor-led training classes and self-paced online training courses, targeted to both application users and technical staff. As you work through exercises or if you just want to practice on your own, you can open virtual training labs to work in QAD Enterprise Applications. You have access to reports that show course status and grades, ensuring results. Demonstration Summary In this demonstration, you will see the benefits of using the QAD Learning Center to develop and maintain product knowledge throughout your organization. The QAD Learning Center ensures that the value you receive from QAD Enterprise Applications does not decline as people change roles, leave the organization or simply forget critical capabilities. You can use the QAD Learning Center to ensure people keep their skills fresh and learn about new functionality, continuously improving your organizational knowledge of what the application has to offer. You will see how anyone on your team can find the training they need, enrolling themselves in self-study courses or working with their supervisor to identify courses appropriate to their role, and optionally following certification programs for career development. Supervisors can get an administrator role in the Learning Center so they can assign courses to employees and run reports to monitor their progress. You can further filter by training type, if you like. When you search by product, you will select a product from a drop-down list of options, and then optionally also select a role. How QAD reinforces learning with hands on practice Often to really learn something, you need to try it hands on. If you would like to do the hands on portion of the training, the QAD Learning Center offers you a fully functional software environment that you can launch for your personal use. You access lab environments on the QAD Product Center (QPC). These are the same environments you would use in a QAD classroom. It takes just a few minutes to launch a lab and then you can practice hands-on training activities at your leisure. Not only is this a great way to learn new functionality, you can also use it to test functionality before you start using it at your company. For example, if you are planning to implement the planning and scheduling workbenches, you might run through the training and then practice with a few of your own examples to see how they respond. Demo 1. Click My Learning tab 2. In I would like to, select Check out an environment for hands-on practice

You will experience less knowledge attrition and your team will have better understanding of available functionality, increasing IT innovation, measured as the gains in competitive advantage resulting from business improvements enabled by your QAD Enterprise Application, without costly customization!
