ELTAC By-Laws (Adopted 6/15/04) Section 100863 (CA Health & Safety Code) ELTAC as a multidisciplinary committee to assist, advise, and make recommendations regarding technical, scientific, and administrative matters concerning the accreditation or certification of environmental laboratories. ELTAC By-Laws Add-ons (Proposed 10/2/15) Assist SWRCB DDW, ELAP by providing advice & recommendations regarding technical & scientific matters for the establishment of rules & regulations that will ensure proper administration & enforcement of provisions of Health & Safety Code sections 100825-100920 as well as provisions in other statutes affecting lab activity.
ELTAC By-Laws Add-ons (Proposed 10/2/15) Functions as a means of exchanging information & opinions related to environmental lab technology, methods, & practice Assists ELAP in: developing rigorous recommendations regarding issues that impact regulated lab community, regulatory agencies, & data users. improving communications & outreach between ELAP & stakeholders operation & improvement of ELAP implementation of a consensus standards based accreditation program with transparent leadership accountable to ELAP stakeholders

Expert Review Panel Draft Report (as of 10/1/15) Develop new ELTAC By-laws Define its memberships ELAP management team adopts and/or responds to information provided by ELTAC Technical tasks for ELTAC to help foster communication and provide training for new hires ELTAC to review technical checklists developed and used by ELAP; merge ELAP & ELTAC checklists to one method or technology Use of ELTAC labs to conduct practice assessments Allow new hires to visit ELTAC labs to learn first hand instruction of technologies not previously assessed
