Introduction We are a project consortium of 19 partners from 12 EU countries and run together the CASI project Public Participation in Developing a Common Framework for Assessment and Management of Sustainable Innovation, funded by the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. You can learn more about the project and its deliverables by browsing our website at http://www.casi2020.eu. We are currently conducting research into the conceptual underpinnings and practical aspects of sustainable innovation across the EU. We use the concept sustainable innovation as a broad reference to any type of innovation (product, service, organizational, etc.) that addresses economic, social and environmental concerns all at the same time. The results of the survey will feed into the preparation of a comprehensive framework of sustainable innovation in terms of assessment and management, and will help chart stakeholder involvement with sustainable innovation, as well as their levels of engagement, in Europe. You were identified as a potential respondent because of your background in innovation and/or sustainability. The survey should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. All responses are kept anonymous and confidential, and will not be shared with any third party. You may also save your responses and get back to them within 3 days to finish and submit. If you are interested in the ongoing CASI work, you may optionally register on the project s website when you complete this survey. Thank you for taking the time to answer the questions in this survey on sustainable innovation. We welcome and appreciate your input! 1
