POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PROFESSIONAL HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT AWARDED BY DIMENSIONS INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (Registered with CPE Singapore) (Duration: 6 months Institutional Training & 6 months Industrial Attachment*) (Full Time) INTRODUCTION DIMENSIONS International College (DIMENSIONS), formerly known as DIMENSIONS Commercial School was founded in 1980. Today, we have three campuses comprising air-conditioned classrooms, training facilities and other facilities like libraries, chemistry laboratory, physics laboratory, computer room, canteens, auditoriums, basketball court, tennis court and badminton courts. We have four schools within DIMENSIONS, namely the School of Languages, School of Hospitality, School of Preparatory and the School of Higher Learning, offering different types of course to meet the varied needs and requirements of our students. The Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Hospitality Management is designed to equip students with contemporary Hospitality and F&B operation management knowledge and skills at supervisory / managerial level, and enable them to develop their personal and professional competence across different management areas in hospitality discipline. Upon completion, successful learners will be able to demonstrate their conception and understanding in respect of hospitality and F&B business management supporting their future career development or further pursuit of higher qualification in relevant area. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Hospitality Management by DIMENSIONS International College. The programme consists of two components: I. Theory and practical class lessons conducted at DIMENSIONS International College (6 months). II. Industrial Attachment (IA)*, students will be trained at hotels, resorts, country clubs or restaurants and write a project report (6 months) Page 1

Students may enroll into a later intake, if any, or withdraw from course. (For refund, please refer to our Refund Policy) End of module Students (both international and local) must achieve an attendance rate of 80% and above in order to qualify for examinations A Pass in all assignments and examinations Not more than 3 months after the final assessment Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Hospitality Management awarded by DIMENSIONS International College Note 1: This course will be conducted at the premises of DIMENSIONS International College. Note 2: International Students must achieve at least 90% attendance rate (ICA Requirement). Note 3: International Students must not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason (ICA Requirement). Note 4: Students who do not require ICA s student s pass must achieve at least 80% attendance rate. Our College only accept medical certificates as proof for absenteeism. Any other documents should only be accepted on a case-by-case basis with full justification and be acceptable by ICA. Page 3

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Age: At least 20 years old. Academic Level: A Degree from recognized institutions or professional qualification of recognized professional bodies or its equivalent. Candidate holding 3 years Diploma or Advanced Diploma with relevant working experience may be considered on case-to-case basis. English Proficiency: At least IELTS 6.0 or CAE Level 5 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by DIMENSIONS. COURSE FEES DIMENSIONS has arranged for protection of course fees paid by the local and international students through the FPS Insurance Scheme provided by Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd or the FPS Escrow account provided by DBS Bank. Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) DIMENSIONS - as an EduTrust-Certified Private Education Institution, is strictly not allowed to collect fee beyond 12 months. An important aspect of the EduTrust framework is the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), It serves to protect the unconsumed course fees paid by the student in the event the college is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and /or regulatory closure. EduTrust certified institutes must protect the total fees paid by students via Escrow or Fee Insurance provided by appointed service providers. DIMENSIONS will primarily work with the Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd FPS Insurance scheme. The DBS Bank FPS Escrow Scheme will be used when requested by students. Our policy also states that by failing to make timely payments of course fees, DIMENSIONS reserves the right to cancel students course registration, withhold results slips, transcripts or awarding certificates and other services. DIMENSIONS shall provide all students aged 7 and above the required medical insurance coverage on hospitalisation and related medical treatment for the entire course duration. A Singapore Citizen/PR or a non- student s pass international student who is protected by his/her own medical insurance coverage in Singapore can opt out from the medical insurance scheme with a proof of valid Medical Insurance Plan given to DIMENSIONS. Total course fees paid (except application fee and GST) by students are protected under the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS). All students must sign the Advisory Note to Student before signing the Standard PEI- Student Contract. The Standard PEI-Student Contract must be signed by the student prior to making course fees payments to DIMENSIONS. Page 5

Note 6: The course fees shown above are effective 13th February 2015 and valid till 31st December 2015. DIMENSIONS reserves the right to make amendment to the course fees without prior notice as and when it deem necessary. TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS All teachers are registered with the Council for Private Education (CPE). All teachers have the required qualifications with 5 years of experience or higher level of qualifications. We have staff specially assigned to manage students welfare, including the handling of their grievances and complaints according to our procedures.
