2015 Employee Benefits Summary 1

The benefits of work worth doing Quintiles cares about its employees and invests in them with resources and incentives that allow them to establish and maintain comfortable individual and family benefits coverage. It is the employees that help Quintiles grow to new heights, and in return, we provide a variety of health and welfare benefit plans that work for employees and their family members. An employee is eligible for benefits coverage the first day of the month following date of hire, unless otherwise noted. 2

Health and Welfare Benefits Medical Quintiles employees have the option of three different medical plans through Cigna, which have varying coinsurance levels and deductibles. Flexible Spending Accounts Through the Flexible Spending Accounts, you may voluntarily redirect a portion of your pre-tax salary to one or both of the accounts below to help offset out-of-pocket medical/dental /vision and child care expenses. When you incur eligible expenses, you will submit a claim to your account(s) and be reimbursed with your pre-tax dollars. Health Care Reimbursement Account Allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars for unreimbursed medical/dental/vision expenses. Dependent Care Reimbursement Account Allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent day care expenses. Disability We want to make sure you and your family suffer no financial hardship should you be unable to work due to illness or injury. Based on your years of service, the Quintiles short-term disability plan will pay between 70% and 100% of your base salary, up to 13 weeks of your absence. After 13 weeks, the long-term disability plan will pay 66 2/3% of your base salary, up to $15,000 per month. Disability coverage is provided to all employees at no cost. All disability benefits are subject to local, state and federal payroll taxes. Long Term Care Quintiles offers access to a voluntary long term care program to help you pay for the cost of long term care services should you need them. You may purchase coverage for yourself and your spouse/domestic partner through payroll deduction, or if you choose, direct billing. Your parents, parents-in-law, grandparents and grandparents-in-law may also purchase coverage at group rates, and any such coverage will be direct billed. Helping Create a Healthier You At Quintiles, we care about your health and well-being, and offer many resources and tools to assist you and your family. Employees who elect Quintiles Medical plan have access to: No cost preventive care and cancer screenings Incentive program with Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) awards MDLive telehealth (24/7 access to physicians via phone, web or video) Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies telephonic support program Telephonic coaching for a wide array of lifestyle and chronic illness issues In addition, all employees have access to the following: Physical Activity Reimbursement Program o Encourages physical activity and stress management by providing reimbursement for gym membership, personal training, athletic event fees, yoga, pilates, dance, massage, outdoor adult bicycles, and home gym equipment. o Employees may receive reimbursement of up to $30 per month, not to exceed $360 per year. Weight Watchers Subsidy o Employees and their spouse/partner receive 35% subsidy on Weight Watchers online, monthly pass, and Weight Watchers At Work sessions. Tobacco cessation telephonic coaching, Text2Quit, and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) at no cost for employees and their spouse/partner Online Health Assessment (HA) Customized, location-specific wellness website o Online workshops and plans for exercise, nutrition and stress management o Wellness resources, recipes, and tracking tools o Regular challenges & contests o Success stories from Quintiles employees and their families o Health library o Faces of Cancer support program On-site fitness centers, exercise classes, sports groups, seminars, blood drives, and chair massage Healthy options in Quintiles cafes and vending machines On-site biometric health screenings On-site flu shots Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you and your family, to assist with any personal concern Travel health support and insurance Pre Travel health consultations Quintiles is proud to maintain its CEO Cancer Gold Standard accreditation. All Quintiles facilities and campuses are Tobacco Free, and the use of any tobacco products is not permitted. 4

Financial, Saving and Investment Benefits Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment Quintiles provides you with a life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment policy equal to two times your annual salary. You may also purchase up to $1,000,000 of additional life insurance and/or $500,000 of accidental death and dismemberment for yourself, your spouse and your children through convenient payroll deduction. 401(k) Plan The 401(k) Plan allows eligible employees the opportunity to defer up to 25% of their monthly payroll dollars on a pre-tax basis or an after tax (Roth) basis into the 401(k) Plan to save for retirement. Company Match $1 on every $1 you contribute, up to 3% of your salary $.50 on every $1 you contribute, for the next 4% - 6% of your salary The Quintiles company match is 100% vested after just two years. Other plan benefits include 28 investment options, auto-enrollment, acceptance of rollovers from another qualified retirement plan or Conduit IRA, loans, the ability to access your account balance, change your investments and contributions as often as you like and checklists, tools and videos on-line to assist with planning for your retirement. We also offer Catch-Up contributions for employees age 50 and over. Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Under our ESPP, eligible employees may purchase company stock at a discount. Participation is completely voluntary and funded through individual employee payroll deduction. The plan has a 12-month service requirement for eligibility. Assistance Benefits Employee Assistance Plan Through our Employee Assistance Plan, Quintiles employees and professional counseling assistance at no cost. The Plan also provides a number of other services designed to help you balance your work and life. Tuition Assistance All regular, full-time employees who have completed a minimum of one year of continuous service with Quintiles will be reimbursed at 75%, not to exceed $6,000 per year, for tuition and books for pre-approved, job-related degree programs. Adoption Assistance Quintiles employees may be reimbursed up to $5,000 for eligible expenses related to the adoption of a child. Pet Insurance Through VPI, Quintiles employees can purchase pet insurance with a group discount for a multitude of medical problems and conditions related to accidents or illnesses (even cancer) for dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles and other exotic pets. Q&Me: Employee Matching Gifts Program In addition to our company initiatives, Quintiles wants to support the causes and programs that are important to our employees. Under the Q&Me matching gifts program, Quintiles will match qualified contributions per employee annually (certain restrictions and limits apply). Also, if you volunteer regularly for a nonprofit organization, we ll send a donation in your name. 5

Time Off Holidays Quintiles provides eight designated holidays a year and two floating holidays that you can schedule at a convenient time.
