IX. Action Agenda a) It is recommended to allow the Superintendent and Treasurer to enter into an exclusive five (5) year Beverage Provider Agreement with Coca-Cola Enterprises. b) It is recommended to deposit the annual Coca-Cola sponsorship of $5,000 plus all rebates and full service commissions over the next five years into the Bond Retirement Fund for payment of the Certificates of Participation Bonds for the Athletic Complex Renovation Project. c) It is recommended to allow the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Side Effects, a sports marketing company, to provide a new scoreboard with advertising, for the sports complex at no cost to the District. d) It is recommended that the following expenditure be approved: Company Purpose Amount TTL Associates, Inc Required testing services during $15,750.00 construction of Sports Complex e) It is recommended that the Board approve the Policy updates. ELMWOOD BOARD OF EDUCATION Page 6 X. Building Reports High School National Honor Society Induction was held on November 16 Winter athletic practices are underway. Scrimmages are also occurring. The first Home varsity contest will be Girls Basketball, on Saturday, November 26 vs. St. Wendelin Fall Athletic Awards were held on November 14. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Nov. 21 and 22 from 1:00pm-7:00pm. Demolition on the old bleachers and press box has started. Mid Term grade reports were issued on November 18. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Middle School Winter Sports have begun. The first Girls Basketball game was last Thursday and the first Wrestling match is December 7 th. Basketball is still a split season, so the first Boys Basketball game is December 20 th. Campus Impact was in on Nov. 4 th and did sessions on bullying prevention with all Middle School students. They will return after the first of the year for a session on Respect and Responsibility. This is provided to us at no cost through a grant. Many of the Core teachers are attending the meetings being presented by ODE concerning changes to the new State and CORE standards. This series of two meetings is being held with the first meetings this month, and the second meetings after the first of the year. This is in preparation for curriculum changes which will affect us in the next few years. The first nine weeks honor roll was released with 245 students receiving at least a 3.0 grade point average. Of those, 57 achieved a 4.0. Conferences are taking place today and tomorrow. Our response was very good, with 83 conferences scheduled as of 11/12. The Holiday Band concert will be held on December 1 st at 7pm, and the Madrigal Dinner will be held on December 11 th at 5:30.
