Physical and cabling A flexible multipurpose shared cabling backbone and telecommunications infrastructure that meets airport capacity, performance, resilience and security requirements. A more efficient networking environment, with reduced lead-time to connect and lower TCO for telecommunications at the airport. QoS and Optimization Quality of Service (QoS) within the campus LAN ensures that unexpected bursts of traffic do not cause network congestion for mission-critical applications. In addition, our architecture blueprint provides IP Multicast technology that reduces traffic and server loads by delivering a single stream of data to multiple devices. COMMUNICATIONS@AIRPORTS IN ACTION AROUND THE WORLD ONE OF THE KEY PRINCIPLES IN OUR IT&T STRATEGY FOR TERMINAL 2 WAS TO ENSURE THAT THE FACILITY WAS FULLY INTEGRATED INTO THE CAMPUS AND TERMINAL 1. ANDREW MURPHY, HEAD OF IT&T, DUBLIN AIRPORT AUTHORITY SITA offers a long track record of telecom leadership in the airport environment. This includes: 125 customers using 110 AirportHubs worldwide. 2,000 AirportConnect Net CUTE (MDNS) connections at more than 150 airport locations globally. A presence in more than 200 airport CUTE sites worldwide, with 30,000 workstations, 3,300 checkins and 594 CUSS kiosks. HEATHROW AIRPORT HOLDINGS LIMITED Focuses on core business with outsourced IT and network services Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited manages London Heathrow, the world s fourth largest airport and five other UK airports. It wanted to use outsourcing to focus on its core business and deliver new solutions to airlines, retailers and other stakeholders. To this end, Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited outsourced to SITA the provision of LAN, WLAN, voice and radio services across all of its six airports. This was through a consortium led by Capgemini. We also provide ITIL-based service management, contract management, transformation and revenue generation services. DUBLIN AIRPORT increases capacity and customer service with new infrastructure Dublin Airport Authority needed to transform its IT infrastructure to manage capacity growth and operate highest levels of service in its new terminal. This included integrating and implementing of all the airport complex systems. We acted as Dublin s single provider and partnered with leading technology suppliers to build IT and telecommunications systems for its new terminals. DUSSELDORF AIRPORT Maximizes efficiency with common outsourced infrastructure Dusseldorf Airport needed a fully-integrated IT system to maximize efficiency and improve passenger service in the airport. The challenges it faced included modernizing its IT infrastructure, coping with passenger growth and improving aircraft turnaround to under 40 minutes. WE HAVE A REALLY GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH SAIT, THERE S A LOT OF TRUST HERE. OUR COMPLETE IT ENVIRONMENT SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE - IS IN THE HANDS OF SAIT AND WE CAN FOCUS ON OUR CORE BUSINESS. MR. KARL-ULRICH SCHMID, MANAGING DIRECTOR, FLUGHAFEN DÜSSELDORF GROUND HANDLING GMBH (FDGHG) Dusseldorf Airport created a company with SITA to provide the complete service management of its IT infrastructure, along with managing the entire campus infrastructure. This included operation and commercialization of LAN, WAN, fixed and mobile telephony and data center facilities. Common infrastructure is shared between airport, tenants and airlines for economies of scale and quality of service improvement BOGOTA AIRPORT Has accelerated passenger growth in Colombia driving the construction of a new terminal In august 2011, CCND (Consorcio constructor el Nuevo Dorado) selected SITA as a systems integrator at Bogota airport to support passenger growth and new terminal expansion. SITA was the incumbent provider of CUTE, CUSS, AODB and RMS on the existing terminal; SITA will provide the communications systems such as data network cabling, equipment, LAN, WIFI and IP telephony systems. The project needs to meet a tight schedule through three phases: The construction of new international Terminal by June 2012. The new domestic terminal to be opened by October 2013. Tearing down the old terminal, bringing up gates to be opened in July 2014.
