Section 1: Certification Renewal Process This document is intended for the Certification Administrator of a currently certified channel. Users with out the CertAdmin account will not be able to access many of the items referenced in this document. Channel Partner Certification is granted to a company for the period of one year. Prior to a company s certification expiring, the CertAdmin for the account must verify all the information stored in your profile is accurate and updated. You will be given a sixty day window to access your profile and verify your information. Once you have verified this information Polycom will review your account and extended your certification for an additional year if all information is valid and all requirements are met. The Polycom CertTeam can take up to 2 days to verify your information. You are required to verify the following items: General Company Information: Be sure that your company information is updated and correct. Be sure that all distributors you might purchase from are selected, all general contact numbers are correct, update Helpdesk information, and that services you offer to your customers are updated. Test Results: Be sure to verify that all the tests your company has completed are registered in your profile. Also be sure to verify the expiration dates of your employees tests. You are required to make sure that tests are retaken prior to expiration. If a test is not retaken prior to expiring, your company may become out of compliance and potentially lose your certification. Demo Equipment: Be sure that all demo equipment is entered and that the correct location is selected for each. If you have sold a demo unit, be sure to remove that unit and enter the serial number for your current demo unit. If Polycom finds a demo unit that has been sold to an end customer registered in your account, your certification will be removed. 1. Login to the Polycom Resource Center (http://extranet.polycom.com) 2. On the left hand navigation bar click on Certification and then select the Manage Certification link. 3. Once you are in the 60 day renewal window you will see a message appear across the top of your account that reads: Your Certification is due to expire on <expiration date>; Please review and verify all the information on this page. 4. Verify the required information and check the Verify <page name> Information box at the bottom of the page. Once all three are checked click the save button. The pages that require verification are: Company Testing Demo Products 5. Once all information has been verified, the will be notified and will review your account. If all information provided appears accurate, your certification will be extended for an additional year. If the CertTeam has any questions you will be contacted by phone or email. Qualified Sales/Technical Representative tests are valid for two years. During the renewal process close attention should be paid to the expiration date on any QSR or QTR test expiration dates. If any test expire within the year and are not replaced, this could potentially affect your company s certification status. Page 2 of 6
Section 2: Company Information Page This section allows you to edit information that generally applies to your company. Be sure that your company information is updated and correct. Be sure that all distributors you might purchase from are selected, all general contact numbers are correct, update Helpdesk information, and that services you offer to your customers are updated. Company: 1. Maintain Company Information a. Verify company information b. Be sure to enter your Tax ID or VAT ID if these fields are not already populated 2. Select Distributors: Add or delete distributors here by clicking the + or - buttons. Important! Only selected distributor can see your status. If you do not select a distributor, then they are no allowed to resell product to you 3. Manage Help Desk Information: If these fields are not already populated, please provide this information. You are required to have a help desk to hold certification 4. Manage Service Levels: If these fields are not already populated, please provide this information. Certification requires that you make these services available (some only at Gold/Platinum level). You need to indicate how and/or who is providing these services to your customers. 5. Section 3: Testing This section allows you to enter information on testing completed by your employees. Information added will not count towards your certification until verified by the. Be sure to verify that all the tests your company has completed are registered in your profile. Also be sure to verify the expiration dates of your employees tests. You are required to make sure that tests are retaken prior to expiration. If a test is not retaken prior to expiring, your company may become out of compliance and potentially lose your certification. Only the first 5 records will be displayed. Be sure to select View all or View 100 so you can see all records. You can also download an excel version by selecting the icon in the title bar. Product Testing: 1. Enter Product Certification 2. Click on the magnifying glass to select a contact (refer to Certification DB Users Guide Reseller.pdf for more details) 3. Select the name of the test 4. Expand section or select Test Information tab 5. Enter score 6. Enter date taken/ verify expiration date 7. Enter validation ID (if applicable) 8. Once the certification team has verified testing information the status for the test will be changed to pass or fail. Once pass is selected you will not be able to change the record. Industry Testing: 1. Click on the magnifying glass to select a contact (refer to Certification DB Users Guide Reseller.pdf for more details). 2. Select the name of the test 3. Expand section or select Test Information tab 4. Enter score 5. Enter date taken/ verify expiration date 6. Enter validation ID (if applicable) 7. Once the certification team has verified testing information the status for the test will be changed to pass or fail (tests are valid for two years and then will expire unless retaken) 8. Check the Verify Demo Information box Please note once the test result (pass/fail) is entered by a Polycom representative, you will no longer be able to edit this record. Page 4 of 6

Section 4: Demo Products This section allows you to register your demo equipment for certification. Be sure that all demo equipment is entered and that the correct location is selected for each. If you have sold a demo unit, be sure to remove that unit and enter the serial number for your current demo unit. If Polycom finds a demo unit that has been sold to an end customer registered in your account, your certification will be removed. Only the first 5 records will be displayed. Be sure to select View all or View 100 so you can see all records. You can also download an excel version by selecting the grid icon in the title bar. 1. Select a product certification 2. Select the location of the demo unit (click on the magnifying glass) 3. Enter the serial number 4. Click on End-Point Number tab 5. Enter the IP or ISDN contact number for your end-points. 6.
