Impaired Drivers National data In 2007, an estimated 12,998 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes a decline of 3.7 percent from the 13,491 fatalities in 2006. (FARS) 2008 Record low in 10-month preliminary data More than 10% overall decline, with March having over 18%! First time ever data has been available in reporting year
