Impaired Drivers National data In 2007, an estimated 12,998 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes a decline of 3.7 percent from the 13,491 fatalities in 2006. (FARS) 2008 Record low in 10-month preliminary data More than 10% overall decline, with March having over 18%! First time ever data has been available in reporting year
Impaired Drivers Arizona data In 2007, Arizona showed a substantial decrease of 457 alcohol related deaths from the 2006 total of 578. (FARS)

Distracted Drivers NHTSA Data says distracted drivers account for nearly four out of five crashes in the U.S. Nationwide Insurance s Driving while distracted (DWD) survey of more than one thousand drivers, 1 in 3 drivers 18 to 27 years old admit to always multitasking while driving 37 percent send text messages while driving.
