A Review of Foreign Environmental Behavior Influencing Factors Research PENG Yuan-chun Department of Sociology Central South University Changsha Hunan 410083 China Abstract This paper hackles the study on factors of foreign environmental behavior research which based on psychological factors and the combination of internal and external factors. Then we found that most studies believe that environmental behavior is a choice of selfdiscipline and self-control to fit their own reality which can improve the environmental condition and enhance the environmental quality. In order to reveal the implementation of environmental behavior of the internal process and psychological mechanism most studies treat environmental attitude or environmental concern as a key variable. And most research use questionnaire to collect data of a certain utilizing structural equation model and other advanced statistical methods to explore self-reported environmental behavior. These studies ignored external structural factors such as socio-economic development cultural change class differentiation regional differences information segmentation which may shape the environmental psychology and dynamic impact on environmental behavior. In order to break through the limitations of existing research we should accurately understand the connotation of environmental behavior use the questionnaire survey experimental method field observation and depth interviews to collect longitudinal data and combine the psychological factors with structural factors to explore different types of environmental behavior. Key words environmental behavior environmental attitude psychological factors structural factors 145
