Assessment Plan Mission Statement: The Department of Psychology is dedicated to scholarly excellence and the success of our students. Mirroring the shared mission of the Matt Locke Ellis College of Arts & Sciences and, we follow the American Psychological Association policy on Principles for Quality Undergraduate Psychology Programs in matters relating to our faculty, students, and curriculum. It yields an overall composite score and six assessment indicator scores: (1) Memory and Thinking; (2) Sensory and Physiology; (3) Developmental; (4) Clinical and Abnormal; (5) Social; and (6) Measurement and Methodology. Students will work in groups and use knowledge from testing theory to construct a general psychology test, administer it, analyze the results, and make recommendations for problematic items.
