Cluxton is a Senior Building Sciences/Causation Expert and has 20 years of experience in the fields of mechanical engineering design, wash water recycling equipment design, ozone purification system design for water and air applications, HVAC design and trouble shooting for commercial and residential applications, building science forensic analysis experience for water damage, tile flooring damage, wood flooring damage, and large/small scale microbial remediation project management experience. Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Mold Assessor, FL, #MRSA98 Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC), #0805020 Building Analyst Professional (BPI), #5037575 Project Experience: New State Owner Facility, Sanford, FL The project involved a 300,000 square foot three story state owner sheriff and 911 call center building that was subjected to prolonged (month to a year) water damage from condensation of moisture on sub-cooled surfaces and from the penetration of moisture through the building envelope. The presence of the moisture resulted in microbial growth on all floors near the exterior walls of the building. Mr. Cluxton was an on-site engineering consultant team member that determined the areas affected and helped established/enforce the restoration protocol to address the damaged areas from remediation through the clearance testing events. The restoration and engineering consult teams were challenged by tight time lines for the completion of the project and by performing microbial remediation activities in occupied rooms. Mr. Cluxton was part of the team that created the closure documentation for the project. The restoration project was a success. Luxury Hotel, Palm Beach County, Florida The project involved a 456,000 square foot three story luxury hotel that was subjected to extensive water damage and microbial growth that resulted from a hurricane strike. Mr. Cluxton was the consultant team leader that determined the areas affected and established the restoration protocol to address the damaged areas of the building. The restoration team was comprised of a truck mounted desiccant drying system, approximately 50 restoration personal, 45 low grain refrigerant dehumidifiers, and 125 air blowers. Mr. Cluxton assists our structural engineers with investigations into building/installation defects. He is responsible for composing reports documenting the forensic analysis, ambient air quality, temperature measurements, calculated relative humidity levels, and the moisture content of building materials. He also prepares remediation protocol reports. He holds pre-demolition meetings with the remediation contractors and provides on-site consulting during remediation efforts. Mr. Cluxton also performs post-remediation microbial and moisture testing after the remediation efforts to verify acceptable conditions were obtained. Mr. Cluxton has also testified as an expert witness on past projects. Mr. Cluxton has also performed forensic analysis, microbial investigations, and determination for a variety of deficiencies with building materials and process that resulted in moisture related damage.
