Introduction This is a procedure guide to assist Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust staff in relation to the Pest Control Contract provided by Rokill Ltd. It is important that these procedures are followed to ensure Rokill Ltd provide the service provided within the contract specification. The key objectives for this contract is to provide the Trust with a comprehensive, technical and fully operated Pest Control Service and to ensure that effective pest control measures are implemented. The Contractor is to rid the locations of pests and thereafter maintain the locations to prevent and/or remove any further infestations. The service provided is both preventative and responsive. Sites with scheduled inspection services On each inspection visit, the contractor is required to check all insect monitor stations and all rodent bait stations, together with a general inspection of high risk areas, for signs of any pest activity. The contractor will audit areas and maintain accurate records and, therefore, it is essential that insect monitors and rodent bait stations are not removed for any reason. Trust staff will need to be aware of the annual inspection programme. Site Log Book At each location a site logbook is held, which will be completed by the contractor s technician on every visit whether emergency or otherwise, detailing pests observed, the locations and areas inspected and treated, and the recommended common names (in accordance with BS 1831 1969) of the pesticides used. Pest Control Report The pest control report must be dated and signed by both the technician & site manager or site representative together with any warnings or precautions to be undertaken by Trust staff in relation to the pesticides applied or work carried out. 3 P age
