COATINGS GREENFORMANCE

Commitment to sustainability The concept of sustainability has been transforming the behavior and consumption habits worldwide. This change is present in our daily choices. Bearing this in mind, Oxiteno invests in technology, develops products based on renewable raw materials, and promotes the wise use of natural resources. To express this commitment, Oxiteno has created the Greenformance concept, which combines the use of renewable resources, care for the environment and health and wellness, while maintaining quality and performance in its product line to meet our customers needs. Through individual actions and collective consciousness, it is possible preserve the natural heritage for future generations and improve our quality of life. Based on three pillars of sustainability, the Greenformance concept reflects in Oxiteno s current and future development of Coating products. Use of raw materials from renewable sources, replacing synthetic/petrochemical feedstocks with those of vegetable origin. Care for the environment is reflected in biodegradable formulations, with low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) levels and efficient products that may reduce consumption of energy, packaging, or other resources. Ambientalmente correto Fonte Ambientalmente Renovável correto Seguro Fonte Ambientalmente Renovável correto Providing health and wellness through the use of products free from HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants), Seguro Fonte Renovável APE (Alkylphenol Ethoxylates) Seguro and of low odor. Paints and Varnishes with lower environmental impact Oxiteno uses raw materials from renewable resources in its product line for Coatings. Each product is designed to provide biodegradability, lower VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions and greater efficiency to paints and varnishes in applications such as automotive manufacturing, woodworking, printing inks and decorative finishes.

GREEN SOLVENTS Classification of Oxiteno s Coatings product line Use of renewable resources High content of carbon from renewable sources ; Equivalent proportions of carbon from renewable sources and carbon from mineral/ petrochemical sources; Low content of carbon from renewable sources; From mineral/petrochemical sources. Oxiteno s green solvents concept encompasses products not classified as HAP (2) and with low VOC (1). Part of these green solvents also has carbon from renewable sources, ranging from 60% to 100%. Oxiteno s green solvent line isoamyl acetate is based on feedstocks that are less harmful to the environment and have advantageous performance in application compared to traditional ingredients, making them excellent choices for paint and varnish formulators. environmental Care Biodegradable, efficient products and low VOC (1) content; Biodegradable products with low VOC (1) content; Products with low VOC (1) content; No differential attributes. ISOAMYL ACETATE is readily biodegradable, derived from sugarcane with approximately 70% of carbon from renewable sources. Having a high solvency power, it provides greater efficiency and less environmental impact when applied in a paint formulation. Combined with other solvents, it can replace aromatic mixtures. ISOAMYL ACETATE is free of HAP (2) and allows formulation of paints and varnishes with low VOC (1) levels. It is an excellent choice for solvent-based formulations for automotive, industrial and woodworking paints and thinners. HealtH and Wellness Products not classified as HAP (2), APE (3) and with low odor; Products not classified as HAP (2) and APE (3) ; Products not classified as HAP (2) ; No differential attributes. (1) VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). According to criteria of at least one of the main VOC regulations and methodologies: EPA 40 CFR, ASTM D2369, European Directive 2004/42/EC (2010) (2) HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant) - EPA, section 112 (3) APE (Alkylphenol ethoxylate) UltrasolVe M 1200 Sec-Butyl acetate, ULTRASOLVE M 1200, is of high purity, is free of HAP (2) and has low VOC (1) content. Due to its solubility and evaporation characteristics, it can replace aromatic solvents that are associated with chemical dependency. ULTRASOLVE M 1200 (1) VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) According to criteria EPA 40 CFR, ASTM D2369 (2)HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant) - EPA, section 112 is widely used in automotive paints, refinishing, adhesives and wood paints due to its versatility. Provides improved efficiency in formulations for flexographic printing by increasing ink performance and reducing evaporation-related losses compared to traditional formulations.

UltrasolVe 1300 eco ULTRASOLVE 1300 ECO is a readily biodegradable oleochemical ester with approximately 90% carbon content derived from palm kernel oil, a renewable resource. It is an excellent choice to reduce VOC (1) in formulations, as it has very low photochemical reactivity. Combined with other green solvents from Oxiteno, it can reduce the VOC (1) content in traditional automotive refinish systems up to 70%. ULTRASOLVE 1300 ECO is a product free of HAP (2) and is a beneficial alternative to petrochemical solvents in automotive finish systems and adhesives. isoamyl alcohol and isobutyl alcohol Oxiteno s green alcohols are derived from sugarcane, containing 100% bio-renewable carbon. Isoamyl alcohol is a green co-solvent for solubilizing alkyd resins, phenol-formaldehyde resins, urea-formaldehyde, melamine-formaldehyde, lacquer, paraffin, essential oils and bitumen. The Isobutyl alcohol green from Oxiteno is a bio-renewable alternative to replace alcohols derived from petrochemical sources in printing inks. Both alcohols are free of HAP (2) solvents. UltraFilM eco CoalesCinG aids line The ULTRAFILM ECO line comprises coalescing aids derived from palm kernel oil or sugarcane. They have high contents of bio-renewable carbon, from 60% to 100%. These green coalescing aids have boiling points between 260 C and 285 C, are free of VOC (1) and select ones meet Green Seal (4) requirements GS-11. ULTRAFILM ECO line is highly efficient in film formation compared to traditional coalescing aids in the market (5). They are excellent choices for formulating architectural paints.
